"It was ok, but i probably willn't go again."
It wasn't too bad. But i am hard to please. I was overcharged on valet and the staff wasn't too friendly. The room was very clean and the hotel was kept up. Great place for the price only.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Weekend stay"
The hotel was lovely. The staff is the reason I will never stay there again. Any time you all down to the front desk, you get attitude. They were extremely rude. The day of checkout they tried charging me several misc charges that weren't mine. Trying to explain to them they were wrong again attitude! I'm still dealing with a few issues since our stay. "2 nights in New Orleans"
Front desk staff could be more friendly. We came in at 10:30 p.m.-got ready to shower-housekeeping took our towels and did not replace-had to wait for front desk to bring towels. Bathroom light fixture rusted. Corners of the floor in the bathroom could be cleaner. Bed was very comfortable. Liked to design of our room - bedroom to the back and living […] room in the front. Overall I would stay there again. Excellent location to Riverwalk and Casino. Had to pay $25 a night to vallet our SUV. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were very pleased with St. Christopher. I was glad it was right off Canal street and not off a dark side street! Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was great and we were able to walk everywhere we went. The only problem was the parking/valet drop off. There are only 2 spots available in front of the hotel and everywhere else is either illegal parking or taken.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Kept the St. Christopher Style"
Cross Canal St. and your in the most delicous area of the French Quarter. The rooms themselves are spacious and the exposed bricK and support beams are original. This is the old St. Christopher's better managed and with better water pressure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location convenient to sights"
Room was rather small. Good location, but hard to get to. Picture of hotel showed very large entranceway, but only had two parking spots for loading and unloading. No parking garage on site. Valet took it somewhere. City maintenance truck in both spots on our arrival. Had to make our own spot but valet was there to meet us and moved car away as soon […] as we unloaded. Streets were very busy at our arrival. Good breakfast but waffles are just from a waffle maker that you get at all other hotels. Parking a little expensive considering you are not onsite. "great location....met our needs"
hotel was a great value....location very convenient, room comfortable with a lot of character. Only complaint was the bathroom. Single pedestal sink left no room to put toiletries. There was only a very narrow shelf above toilet and the towel racks. Also, the front desk clerk said we could purchase bottled water on each floor from machines. We tried […] machines on 3 floors...one ate our money, the other 2 gave us Dr. Peppers when we pushed the button for water! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Completely Satisfied"
While making the decision on where to stay in New Orleans, I tried to read comments to help in the decision process. I had some doubts about the Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel. However, we thought we'd give it a chance. I'm glad we did. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay. The staff was very cordial, the room service was fine, the […] room was clean, and we were right around the corner from Canal Street. We would definitely return to this hotel for another visit. "nice staff, cold room, dirty towel"
I really wanted to give this hotel at least 4 points for the kind staff service. But considering some of the review criteria - namely maintenance and comfort - it really does not deserve more than 3 points. As soon as I stepped into the bathroom, I noticed that the large towel had red-brown stains. I did not want to know if it was from a menstruating […] woman or what, but let's just say that there were two more small towels with stains as well. At least the front desk sent new towels immediately, which I appreciated. And the room was FREEZING. Yes, I visited here in December, but it was colder than my apartment in New York with stingy heating! The heater controller was not useful either.. it seemed to be putting out cold air if anything, so might be a good thing if you are visiting in summer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room with a View"
The top of my reservation page had a handwritten note saying something about room with a view. Someone had a good sense of humor. The room did have a window but looked out onto a white painted brick wall approximately 6 feet away. I walked back down to the lobby and talked to the front desk clerk and asked for a different room. She nonchalantly advised […] me that all the rooms in the hotel looked out at a wall of a surrounding building! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel-nice place"
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus St. Christopher. Staff was very friendly and helpful, even let us get a room early when we arrived earlier than expected. Hotel is well layed out, staff went out of their way to ensure that our needs were met, from giving directions, making suggestions as to times to go to restaurants, transportation needs, and best walking trails. "Charming...."
We stayed one night here. The room was a little small but very comfortable. It had a nice quaint feel. Also, you couldn't hear the neighbors. In most hotels I stay in you can hear the neighbor's TV playing, not the case here. We had a great night's sleep. The locations is great, right along Canal street and only a few blocks from everything in the french […] quarter, across the street from the insectarium, and a short walk to the riverwalk. When we arrived, it appeared everyone else arrived at the same time. The desk clerks were very helpful and efficient. One even run up to make sure our room was ready. "Outstanding value in great location"
We are locals who occasionally take staycations downtown, especially for major events and holidays. We like this place a lot. The rooms are on the small side but very clean and comfortable; great mattress; beautiful view of the river from our room! Just a block from the French Quarter, and only steps away from such major attractions as the Aquarium, […] Harrah's, Woldenberg Park and the ferry landing. Very safe area. Free breakfast is fine if you're sticking to carbs/coffee/juice, but if you want a delicious big breakfast or brunch, the Ruby Slipper is right across the street. And everyone on staff was super nice! Previous reviewers who complained about service must have had an effect, because that has clearly changed, or else the bad experiences were just random and rare. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel to Stay"
My wife and I went to New Orleans for the first time, and upon the recommendation of some friends, we stayed as near to Canal street as we could. The Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel is close enough to Canal street to make it convenient, yet far enough that you don't get all the noise from the main street. Service was good. The Complimentary […] breakfast is great when you've had a long night in Bourbon street. The Valet service is really convenient and relatively affordable considering the area. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. My only complaint about this hotel, and it's rather minor, is that the hotel was clearly rebuilt at some point, and the facade of the building was kept, yet the two don't match. The windows in our room where about two feet lower than where the floor ended, as a result we had metal railings in place to prevent you from falling in the cavities. That was a little odd, but it was easy to get used to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location"
This is a great location. It's very close to the French Quarter, yet far enough away to not have the noise. Our room had double beds that were extremely comfortable. We had a minor problem. Our TV menu button did not work upon arrival. We notified staff who said they would check our remote. We went out for several hours. TV didn't work upon return. […] Called front desk again, said they would send someone up. After about an hour, we called again. Finally sent up someone who didn't speak much English. He couldn't solve the problem. Called front desk again & were told the movies didn't work throughout hotel. Next day, still didn't work. Called again that night & front desk seemed surprised we were told the system had not been working the day before. They sent up Brian who was very professional & friendly. He immediately took care of the problem by replacing our TV. He also gave us names of places to go to dance. He was a great guy! Overall, our experience was great. We would stay here again. "St. Christopher Hotel in New Orleans"
Not a bad place. it was by no means a 5 star hotel but it was clean. the room was a bit small but it wasnt horrible. the staff was friendly and the breakfeast was pretty good as well. just a lot of carbs, waffles, cereal and muffins and stuff. no eggs or bacon. parking wasnt very good but that was going to be a given. had to pay for the valet for 25 […] a night or u could park ur self for 15 everytime u park. the valet seemed to be a good deal but looking back on it i rather have done the 15 dollar deal cause we hardly drove. The location of the hotel was EXCELLENT! u had the Aquarium that was like 5 or so blocks, (very nice by the way) and the Harrahs Casino was right before it. and as with the casinos in Louisiana, u can drink for free as long as ur gambling. so having to worry about transportaion and paying out of ur butt wasnt an issue since i culd just walk right on back to the hotel. my wife and I enjoyed out selves and we look foward to going again. my wife and i would go back to St. Christopher. "Great Location and Price"
This Hotel was a great find located right off Canal St. you are about 300yds from the House of Blues and less than 5 minutes from Bourbon St... The Hotel was clean and the staff are very friendly. We arrived around noon but were told that it would be closer to 3PM before being able to check-in, they stored our bags in a locked room which allowed us […] to head out and grab something to eat. The rooms are a little small but clean and well maintained, the TV was old and the picture not great but still did exactly what we wanted and was comfy enough. There was a little street noise but not half as much as being located on Bourbon St. Breakfast wasn't anything special but to be honest we headed to Cafe Du Monde for Beignets, you can walk to most places in the French Quarter in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here on my next visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great"
It was wonderful. The location was great. Its on Magazine St (great shopping!) and about 1/2 block off of Canal. In the hotel there was a lot of exposed brick and large raw wood colomns through out. Really pretty. The staff was great, and very helpful. Could not ask for more, for a little short trip to New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"BW St Christopher - ideal location"
Great location, parked the car and could easily walk to the sites which we had planned to visit. Jackson Square was an easy walk, as well as the great reastuarants on Decatur, Royal, and Conti. Valet Parking was less expensive than using the local lots if one plans to drive, as we did several times to visit some outlying areas. Only drawback that we […] had was the amount of time to get the car. Once it took over 30 minutes after we had call. I got down to New Orleans earlier than expected and visited the night spots, stopped by the hotel at 4am and had no problem checking in. My wife flew in later that morning and the staff had re-cleaned the room prior to us getting back to the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

You can't ask for a better inexpensive locale for sightseeing in the French quarter and it's close to public transportation and streetcars. The room was clean. "Best Western St Christopher - not reliable"

I HAVE HAD ROOMS WITH BIGGER CLOSETS THAN THE SIZE OF THIS ROOM. lounge/restaurant was never open-maid service was poor-no Kleenex no shampoo and housekeeping used voicemail that never responded. "Best Western St. Christopher - Great Value!"
New Orleans is not very busy in December and we had read that almost all hotels offer high discount rates at this time of year. We booked this hotel mid-late December and received a discounted rate of less than half the price! Check-in was quick, the staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect. It was just diagonal from Canal hitting Decatur, […] Royal, Bourbon, etc. in minutes - very convenient when coming back late at night. The hotel was also very close to the St. Charles streetcar giving direct access to Lafayette cemetery and the Garden District. The hotel itself is located on Magazine street and is walking distance from the WWII Museum and some great restaurants. The hotel room was charming. Yes, the brick walls you see in the pictures are really in the rooms. However, the walls across the brick ones were not so thick, and we could hear the guests next door talk/sneeze/etc. much of the time. The ventilation system in the rooms is also quite noisy, since there is not humidifier in the bathroom when showering, the system starts by itself (and can occur at any time of day). This was a bit annoying, but nothing that should deter you from staying. Breakfast was served until 10:00AM but I would suggest going much earlier as there is not much left by 9:30AM. There isn't much food nor choice but considering the price and location, it isn't a bad deal! Overall, the hotel is in a safe area that is very close to the French Quarter, the St. Charles streetcar, Mississippi River, etc. and is a great value for your money - I would definitely stay there again!
