"Very expensive and in need of renovation"
I am only glad it was just one night. The Hotel needs renovating. Service is basic and minimum. The breakfast was terrible. The hotel is crumbling down and it is in the worst part of canal street, where walking at night I did not feel safe. Not a good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ok stay"

"I wouldn't stay here again."

"This was a horrible experience."

"reasonable walking distance to French quarter"
I would have been scared to walk back after dark, especially on weekdays, if I was not there with my husband (but we were both still freaked out). Context--I grew up in BRONX NY--not a pleasant place. Groups of rowdy youngish people hanging out near hotel on sane side of street; on opposite side homeless laying across sidewalk and against buildings. "good location but bad maintenance"
The location is pretty good considering its close to the french quarter. It doesnt seem like a safe location though. The room was okay, hair dryer didnt work properly and called maintenance but they never came to fix it. The bed was so old it hurt my back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"My room was upgraded"
My room was upgraded to a king bed suite at their doing and at no extra cost. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast selesction was okay at best. I would not hesitate to go back on my next trip to New Orleans.Genuine Expedia guest review

Friendly people, clean room. Terrible noise, one of two elevators kept acting up. Night watchman sits at the door with a gun as it is about three blocks too far up from Bourbon street and way too far from the convention center. "never stay there again"
This was probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. No parking. Location horrible. You could get a ticket if you parked out front to check in. Had to use valet parking and pay extra. Got to room no towels to speak of. Others complained about things missing from rooms. Had no idea where my car was. While checking in the receptionist had some […] guy right there talking to her In Spanish while she took my credit card and license. This questionable-looking guy was right next to me. "Fun in New Orleans"
The bed was super comfy. The pullout bed needs replacement, it was a horrible sleep. Hotel staff friendly. The morning breakfast lady on the Sunday should go, tidiest thing ever. I'd stay again based on the hotel staff. They were awesome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value for money, but dubious neighborhood"
Rooms were really clean, big and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was okay; taken together really good value for money. The only downside is that the neighbohood appears a bit sketchy; but as soon as you are about 5 block south, everything is fine again.
