The Beaux Arts-style Courtyard New Orleans Downtown/Ibervillein New Orleans, LA, stands within one block of Bourbon Street and is located two blocks from the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line. For antiquing ventures, the hotel is positioned two blocks from Royal Street, renowned for its many art and antique shops that offer contemporary and historical arts and artifacts.

With its colonnaded, second-story lobby decorated with antiques and fine art, the 10-story Courtyard New Orleans Downtown/Iberville shares the historic, 1909 Beaux Arts Maison Blanche Building with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The Ritz-Carlton features a wide range of spa treatments, such as aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, spa and couple treatments, facials and massages. Some beauty services require prior reservation. Guests under 18 are not allowed in the spa. Guests can also access the Ritz-Carlton's indoor pool, steam room, spa tub, and fitness center, for a fee. Fine dining is available at M Bistro, which serves classic Creole dishes. Turn-of-the-century antiques are set against accents in pale green and gold at the Davenport Lounge that offers afternoon tea on Saturdays and live jazz entertainment for most nights. Cooked-to-order breakfasts (surcharge) are served in the grand lobby of the hotel. Garage parking (surcharge) and roundtrip airport shuttle services (surcharge) are available on request. The hotel has 10,500 square feet (945 sq m) dedicated to 10 meeting and conference rooms as well as 24-hour business center, banquet facilities, and technology support staff. The hotel provides complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas.

This hotel's 230 suites feature separate bedrooms and sitting areas, antique-style furnishings and double sofa beds. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses and 300-thread count sheets. Refrigerators are provided. Rooms include CD players, complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, and high-definition flat-panel cable TV with premium channels, ESPN and HBO. Marble bathrooms boast travertine sinks, rainforest showerheads and complimentary Bath & Body Works toiletries. Rollaway beds are available for a fee. This property was recently renovated.

"Real Estate 101: Location Location"
As the title suggests, the hotel is steps away from all of the action no Bourbon St. That's one of the main reasons I plan on staying here again if rooms are available for mardis gras or New Year's Eve. The only flaws are the fact that the "Business Center" is out in the open, in the lobby (Which is on the 2nd floor) and full functionality of the desktops […] is hampered. Specifically, you can't save anything to the hard drives (not even temporarily), the computers also didn't have Adobe for PDF viewing. Not a problem if you bring your own external hard drive or a small flash drive. In the rooms, WiFi is available, but the ethernet ports didn't work. "Good, but not Great... Small rooms"
I booked a room with two king beds for three nights during spring break. When we arrived, the hotel was easy enough to find and the valet was very helpful. We quickly checked in, although upon entering our room we realized that we had only had one king bed. I immediately went downstairs and tried to switch rooms. They informed me that even though I […] had a confirmation for two beds, the reservation only had 1 bed and they didn't have any rooms with 2 beds available until the following night. When we switched rooms, we found that the two bed rooms was the exact same size as the one with one bed. The room with two beds is incredibly crowded. As soon as you open the door you are in the bed. We loved staying in the Ritz Carlton building and getting to use the spa, gym, concierge for a fraction of the price. We arrived at the Iberville Suites to the bell boy asking us if we knew the hotel was undergoing renovations? I was immediately put out a bit because no one had mentioned it, but it proved to be non-issue as we never heard any noise. The hotel is conveniently located about a block from Canal and 2 blocks from Bourbon St. Each room had a separate room […] with a sofa, comfortable chairs, a desk, frig, sink, coffee pot. We've stayed at The Iberville Suites before and really enjoyed it. This stay was fine, but a wee bit disappointing. Our room was really outdated and a little musty, the mattress was uncomfortable. Also, the last time we were at the hotel, the breakfast buffet was lovely . . . it had hot items and a variety of choices. This time, it was pretty much bagels, […] muffins, cereal and yogurt – much like you'd find at the inexpensive chains catering to business travelers. I expect more from The Iberville Suites. Replace some of the musty room furnishings, get some flat-screen tvs, offer upscale toiletries and some other extras (like a couple of bottles of water in the fridge) . . . and I'm happy to pay high-end prices. I can't give it a 4 star rating as others have due to the need for renovations. One of our rooms had furniture that was torn and the springs were coming out of the loveseat. The carpet was also badly stained. I think that in it's time it was a great hotel and could be again with room renovations.
