"Never-ever-ever stay in this Pig Pen Again"
I have never been more disappointed in a Motel in my 67 years of life. These are the issues I confronted: The Parking lot was flooded, the room reeked of mildew, there was actual mold on the bathroom wall, the shower handle pulled completely out of the wall, the toilet was cracked and patched with caulking, the toilet was filthy and unclean able with […] stains, the bath tub glazing was chipped and had rust. "Trying hard NOT to get my business"
The maids neglected to clean our room two of the three nights we were staying over. The door lock to our room only worked after up to six failed attempts to use the keycard. The front desk person who checked us in was upset that we asked her help to enter the room. The 'free' breakfast was absolutely disgusting -- dried up, tasteless, and stale. "Should be renovated!!!!"
Cons: This hotel was not what it seems online. The check- in went smoothly; however, entrance to the room was horrible. The room had a funny odor and caused my nose to itch and my sister to sneeze uncontrollably. It seemed there was moisture in the air, so the rooms should have a humidifier installed. "Disappointment"
Well, when we checked in there was no room number on the door. Then upon entering the room, the room looked as if someone just left out of the room prior to us arriving. "The bed a deep hole"
Thought I was staying at a LaQuinta Inn, but found out when I showed up after a 13 hour drive, that it was taken over by Baymont. I had a small dog, which Baymont did not allow pets, but was nice enough to honor the pet policy from LaQuinta Inn. Overall the people that work there was very nice and helpful. We had a lot of issues with the Hotel. To start with No ice machine on our floor. A minor inconvenience. the Toilet bowl was running and flushing by itself all night, the window has a curtain that covered one third of the space and during the day it was very bright and you could not escape the street lights during the night. "The worst ever"
Terrible. We arrived and the receptionist waited until I was checked in and paid and THEN told me, "Oh, by the way, we don't have any keys so you won't be able to exit and reenter your room without our maintenance man coming down and opening the door for you." BUT, the key he had didn't work, or the door lock was broken...whatever...45 minutes later […] we are still standing in the lobby. "Stay Away from this hotel. Bad management."
This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. For three days I and my family stayed there, the sheets, blankets or pillow cases were not changed. Hallway was vacuumed only once. Bed was sloppily made. Two evenings I called for new sheet and was told each time that nothing can be done because the cleaning crew had gone for the day. I was very dissatisfied with my room. I reserved a NON-SMOKING room. The room I was given stunk to high heaven. The smoke stench was so bad I smelled it on me after I left. The Hotel is old and has not been kept up at all. The sofa bed almost collapsed when it was pulled out. "Deceiving listing and horrible stay."
The staff was not very helpful. The wallpaper was peeling in the room, the light fixtures were loose, the carpet was sticky and the maids never once stepped into our room for the three nights that we were staying there (we had to ask the front desk twice for towels). The description says that it is mere minutes from the French Quarter and downtown areas, […] this is deceiving, it is 15-20 minutes by car or taxi, depending on traffic, and you will pay about $30 each way. terrible room! the walls were stained as was one of our beds - with blood!. There was no shower curtain nor any shampoo. Just a bar of soap. The door also did not lock correctly. The door leading outside was also jammed up and would open without use of a key like someone hard used a crow bar to pry it open. The vending machines did not work correctly. "La Quinta,Chalmette,New Orleans:such a bad experience,never again."
Le personnel ne démontre aucun empressement,aucune empathie,ne donne des explications que si on demande,n'offre aucune excuse s'il y a des retards ou des problèmes. Alors que j'étais couchée vers 16:30 a notre arrivée ,quelqu'un est entré sans frapper pour réparer la toilette,a fait beaucoup de bruit et de multiples allers- retours sans se rendre compte […] qu'il y avait quelqu'un dans la chambre. L'Internet n'a pas fonctionné pendant tout notre séjour de 3 jours. La piscine était inutilisable(non entretenue,pleine d'algues vertes). Le choix au déjeuner est acceptable sauf qu'il n'y avait pas de cuillères malgré qu'on nous servait des yogourts et des céréales avec du lait.(la seule explications que j'ai eue pendant les 3 jours c'est;"no spoon,no spoon". La toilette s'est de nouveau brisée pendant le séjour et malgré le fait que nous ayons avisé le dimanche matin, elle n'était toujours pas réparée le lundi matin de notre départ.
