Drury Inn & Suites New Orleans

I came to NO for a conference. This hotel was perfect. It is right in the heart of the business district (near the superdome). The hotel it beautiful, the staff is friendly and the service is excellent. There is a very nice breakfast buffet included, and there are even free hor dourves and drinks in the evening (although I never made it there for that). […] After my conference my wife flew in for a couple of days of vacation. We moved hotels to be a little closer to the french quarter. That was a big mistake. THe price was higher and the room was not as nice. The breakfast was not as good and no hor dourves or drinks. To top it all off, in was only once I got to NO (having pre-paid the new hotel) that I realized the the drury is a perfectly comfortable, less than ten minute walk to the French quarter. Read more

Location was great - about 4 blocks from the French Quarter and a 20 min. walk to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Also 1 block to St. Charles street car to the Garden District. We were so impressed with the Drury Inn we will look for this chain when we travel. The free breakfast and light supper + happy hour drinks in the evening were more than expected. Breakfast included many choices of hot and cold food including fresh fruit. The night we had the light supper it was lettuce salad, chicken strips, baked potato, hot dogs, soup, pretzels, chips and salsa +. At check-in we were given a drink ticket for the week for each person in our room, you use these for the evening happy hour drinks - some mixed drinks, wine, beer, and pop were available. All the Drury Inn staff whom we met were so friendly and helpful. We had never heard of the Drury Inn before booking our room, so were a little unsure whether we should stay here, but relied on the great reviews and they were totally right --this was a perfect choice for us. A wonderful experience. Easy to get on foot to many of the key areas of New Orleans - french quarter, mississippi riverwalk, and the garden district. Hotel staff was wonderful, breakfast and other free items (internet, and evening snacks) were great.

It was my second stay in New Orleans in two weeks. The previous was one of the Hilton's. This Drury is so much better! Pros: Nice location, great service, nice size rooms, quiet AC units, breakfast included, very fast internet included, excellent happy hour food and drinks (better than usual Embassy Suites), polite people, clean rooms, very reasonable […] rates! Cons: I travel every other week. It's one of very few hotels in the world I can't find negatives. Maybe breakfast menu could be a bit improved? Read more

I have stayed in many of the better known hotels in the downtown area. I had never stayed at this one, and wish I had done so prior to this stay. The size of my room really took me back. Most downtown hotels are just big enough for you and your luggage. This one was more than roomy. I was also happy with the wireless Internet for FREE. Parking is not […] outrageous at $17 a night. I was lucky to find street parking and got it for free! The fact that the beer was watered down during their happy hour did not bother me. It is convenient located, near French Quarter. Also, They provided a nice evening snack but it was enough for dinner. Comfortable, and reasonably-priced accommodations. The hotel is several blocks from the convention center.

This was in a great location. Walking distance to French Quarter and Warehouse/Arts District. Many great restaurants within a few blocks. The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. This hotel is very conveniently located close to the French Quarter and the conference center (walking distance). Friendly service. Our favourite was the breakfast and 5:30 kick-back. Lots of free food at both, three free alcoholic drinks with hot-dog dinner. Pool area was okay but needed more clean dry towels - all were gone by 8 pm. More trash cans […] needed in rooms. Fast and efficient check-in, they had all my details to hand. Room was spaceous, clean, with microwave, fridge, new TV with good choice of channels, coffee maker, bath and shower with a few toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and there were 3 choices of pillow available. Breakfast was good - cereals, yogurt, bagels, cakes, scrambled eggs, beefburger, […] sausage, various juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Soft drinks and hot water for tea/coffee available all the time. Hot snacks from 5.30 to 7 pm included hot dog, baked potato, chicken nuggets, meatballs, and a salad of lettuce, carrot and celery together with a variety of sauces. You could eat as much as you likes and make it a full meal. Free wi-fi throughout and 2 stand alone computers and printers in reception free for guest use. Check out efficient, nothing extra to pay. The taxi we ordered via reception to the airport was on time. Hotal location in CBD, about 4 blocks from Canal Street on the edge of the French Quarter, easily walkable in 10 minutes. Some noise from the streetcar which runs until late in the evening and starts up again around 4.30 a.m. Overall and excellent choice for the budget traveller and I would highly recommend it. The hotell is located at a great spot for getting around I NOLA. The people working here are very nice and helpful, and they lift this 3-star hotel to a higher level. Free breakfast and nice afternoon snack and drinks are included in your stay. The food is not all that but it's a nice gesture. One negative point were the bedsheets and towels that seemed […] to be thoroughly used and lost a lot of their whiteness. They were not dirty but sure did not look very nice. Mycket bra hotell med massor av fria förmåner - fri läsk, kaffe och popcorn hela dagen, bra frukost, trevlig kvällsbuffe´ med gratis dryck (öl, vin, drinkar). Fin pool och bubbelpool på taket med utsikt. Proffsig reception och mycket omtänksam hotelldirektör. Kan varmt rekommenderas.
