"Always a treat"
The Monteleone is a beautiful, old hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. The standard rooms are not overly large, but the decor is lovely and everything is always neat and clean. The hotel is very efficiently run and it is our first choice when in New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Worst night ever"
OMG! Two of the worst nights ever in a hotel. The noise from Bourbon street was unbearable. The lowriders had bass playing so loud that my window shook. Not everyone comes to New Orleans to party all night. the hallways were full of drunken revelers who screamed and laughed at 4 am. Never ever coming here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but small rooms"
The location was right but the rooms were very small for a 4 star hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Issues with the Service"
We had to wait for 45 minutes for our vehicle because they were having problems with retrieving the vehicles. Also while eating in the restaurant, the food and coffee were cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Blah"
They put me in a room with no window. Then they put me in a room next to the elevator with a small window looking at an alley. The hotel bar and restaurant was great, but the room was small, dark, dank, and aged. Yuck.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved the location and the hotel. Definitely planning to returnGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't go to bed before 2 am."
Dated interior in rooms, 2 am on the South side of the hotel is terrible. A nearby bar throws all their empty bottles into a metal trash bin for 45 minutes while yelling. Don't stay on the South side or don't come back to your room before 3 am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"I'd Stay Here Again"
The Hotel Monteleone is a beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. The Carousel Bar in the hotel serves classic, craft cocktails in a great setting where the bar slowly rotates as you drink. Just across the street is Mr B's Bistro serving great Creole cuisine. You're a short walk to Bourbon Street and any number of bars and restaurants. […] You're a slightly farther walk to the oldest extant cemetery in New Orleans. While the Hotel Monteleone is a great place to stay, the beds aren't the greatest, but good enough given the location and atmosphere. I'd stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Monteleone- New Orleans, LA"
A very hisotoric & beautiful hotel with a very convenient location. They were very accommodating despite ongoing work for their restaurant/kitchen. Timely & food service. Best part of the stay was the location & awesome bar- the Carousel Bar really does rotate- don't drink too much!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Cab in and out - very good central location. Dated but clean - our room was quiet and the bed and pillows very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Monteleone - Historic and convenient!"
I was very pleased overall with my stay. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are very comfortable - it was hard going back to my own bed since theirs are so comfortable! We were there for a conference and the hotel went above and beyond making the conference run smoothly and the meal they served was phenomenal - I highly recommend their restaurant! […] The staff was very helpful and even allowed an early check-in and later check-out to coordinate with the conference times. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Hotel I've stayed at in the Quarter"
The hotel has history, glamour, charm, and comfort. The hotel was far the best one I've stayed at in the French Quarter! The bed is comfy, the room is cozy, and the staff is super freindly and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous. I've stayed at 3 other hotels in F.Qtr and had issues with all of them except not at the Hotel Monteleone. The carosel bar is […] exquisite and the most interesting thing I've seen. If you want a nice stay in the Qtr than this is your hotel...It's only 1 block from Bourbon and even offers a bat light if you get too intoxicated to find your way back (hotel name lights the sky). They are doing construction and it begins around 9am .. it was very disruptive and made me exit the room as fast as i could. I was staying on a lower floor. I recommend to ask before you arrive where the construction is taking place an ask for a room as far away from it.. Also late night staff is not particularly knowledgeable or friendly at front […] desk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A real jewel in the Quarter"
This property is going through a minor renovation that will certainly make it even more appealing. The rooms are small, yet comfortable, the service is great and the location is perfect for business travelers who want to be close to Bourbon street for dinner and drinks, yet far enough away for quiet. I will book again on my next trip.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice French Quarter hotel"
Nice room, nice staff. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom a bit small. I liked the decor and the proximity to the Carousel Bar, as well as the rest of the neighborhood. The rooms are air conditioned to a fault. Overall, it's a nice hotel in the French Quarter. It gets a little noisy, but I wouldn't recommend staying in the French Quarter if […] you don't want to hear music and enthusiastic embibers roaming the streets. "Hotel Monteleone"
After reading such glowing reviews of the hotel, I was looking forward to my stay. I checked in during the late afternoon but didn't see my room until after midnight. I had reserved a room with 2 double beds, but instead got a room with a king. After going to the front desk to ask for a change, we were put into an even smaller room, with a queen size […] bed. By this time it was almost 1 am, so rather than go down and change rooms again, my son and i mad the best of it. The next morning upon check out, the front desk asked if i had enjoyed my stay. I responded with a "not really", but rather than attempting to find out what the issue was, the clerk didn't say another word, just proceeded with my check out. Its a pity that a hotel with such a fine reputation, shows no real concern for a guests complaint Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close but not too close...."
to the convention center and conference hotel sites. Loved being in the French Quarter - quiet, elegant - outstanding service. Room was very clean and well appointed. Close to a number of both traditional and new restaurants. Loved the street music. Should have stayed longer.
