Carousel Lounge - Famous haunt of well-known American writers, artists, and entertainers for generations. Revolving carousel with circus motif for a bar, hand-painted barstools, and fiber-optic stars. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres during evening cocktail hour. Occasional live piano entertainment. Open from late morning until late night.
Poolside Bar - Adjacent to the rooftop pool. Serving snacks and beverages. Open seasonally.
A 30-foot heated pool on a rooftop deck of Hotel Monteleon New Orleans provides French Quarter views. The fitness center includes treadmills, stationary bikes, a stair machine, a strength-training machine, fresh fruit, and towels.

"Always a treat"

"Worst night ever"
OMG! Two of the worst nights ever in a hotel. The noise from Bourbon street was unbearable. The lowriders had bass playing so loud that my window shook. "Don't go to bed before 2 am."
Dated interior in rooms, 2 am on the South side of the hotel is terrible. A nearby bar throws all their empty bottles into a metal trash bin for 45 minutes while yelling. Don't stay on the South side or don't come back to your room before 3 am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The Carousel Bar in the hotel serves classic, craft cocktails in a great setting where the bar slowly rotates as you drink. Just across the street is Mr B's Bistro serving great Creole cuisine. After reading such glowing reviews of the hotel, I was looking forward to my stay. I checked in during the late afternoon but didn't see my room until after midnight. I had reserved a room with 2 double beds, but instead got a room with a king. After going to the front desk to ask for a change, we were put into an even smaller room, with a queen size […] bed. By this time it was almost 1 am, so rather than go down and change rooms again, my son and i mad the best of it. The next morning upon check out, the front desk asked if i had enjoyed my stay. I responded with a "not really", but rather than attempting to find out what the issue was, the clerk didn't say another word, just proceeded with my check out.
