Daily chef specials complement Creole and Cajun cuisine selections including jambalaya and Louisiana crawfish etouffee. Prime rib is a specialty.
Lafitte's Bar - A brightly lit and cheerfully decorated sports bar offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Along with televised games available on numerous monitors, patrons enjoy Creole and Cajun specialties as well as a wide selection of beverages and beer brands.
Sweet Dreams Café - This lobby-level coffee bar offers specialty coffees as well as Continental breakfasts, pastries, and light lunches.

Guests enjoy the use of a 36-foot seasonal pool on an outdoor deck located on the fourth floor. Chaise lounges surround the pool. The hotel also has a fitness center equipped with two exercise bikes, a Universal-type gym, one treadmill, one stair climber, a TV, towels, and water.
The Doubletree is located across the street from the Health Club by Hilton where, for a fee, visitors can play tennis, racquetball, squash, take golf lessons, or play basketball on an indoor court.

Everything was great!! A few dislikes were the room was too small, especially the bathroom. I was expecting the room to be more spacious. "Overall Great Hotel and Location"
First of all I loved the cookies at check-in. Not extremely big but very nice size room for a king size bed. Loved the 42" television. Also got in kind of late and loved the fact that I did not have to go out to find any resturant there is one in the hotel. It may not compare to cuisines of Downtown New Orleans but still good and convienant. Second […] the location was great we walked everwhere from the french quarter to the riverwalk and mall to the world war II museum to the Treme and even to Frenchman St. I also had a chance to utilize the fitness room and the pool both of which were very nice with no complaints. The only downsides even if you want to call it that was that the onsite resturants were kind of expensive and so was the room service from the resturants and the only option for parking is valet, but once again you pay for these convienances which they were very convientant so I still really enjoyed my stay. "Chosen for the location and cookies!"
The stay was nice and quiet, we did not wake up to any rowdy guests. The bathroom ceiling could use a bit of work/maintenance, looked a bit old and mildewy, and the bathroom overall was pretty small. Tv could use more channels. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good and not too over priced. The pool is a bit small and nothing special about […] it even though we didn't even use it. I booked and paid for a king size bed but if that was a king size bed it was the smallest one I've seen in a while. We would have complained but were only there for one night. Also, the front desk clerk that checked us in was VERY polite and when we told her we were celebrating our anniversary she had a bottle of champagne sent to our room which made […] up for the smaller bed. I was surprised there wasn't a hair dryer in the room as that seems pretty standard in most hotels. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. "Wonderful hotel-Wonder staff!"
We had a wonderful stay at the Doubletree by Hilton New Orleans. Upon request we were given a room with wonderful view of the river. It was a little small but nevertheless cozy. The staff went our of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcom. A few examples, our maid greeted me with a "Good Morning Baby"; the bartender recommended "Frenchman […] Camp" where the local sgo and we had an awesome experience the last night, requested scizzors and they went out of their way to find me some. "Good location. Bad hotel."
Pros: * The location is pretty good. It was nice to be easy walking distance to the French Quarter, the Aquarium, the river and Riverwalk and a easy street car ride to the Garden district. Mother's was a short walk as well. * The entire hotel staff was really great. Cons: * The hotel is looking its age. There was rust in the ceiling tiles in the bathroom. […] The crown molding was in disrepair. * The rooms are tiny, including a closet the size of a small linen closet and a bathroom with hardly any room to move around. * The bed was small and uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. It was really hard to sleep. Maybe none of these are the end of the world but this place is hardly worth the price they charge. "Double Tree not Double Nice"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, The room they gave us had 2 adjoining rooms on either side of us and you could hear EVERYTHING from the other two rooms. I could hear conversations going on next door like they were in my room and i had the TV turned up. When our next door "neighbors" left the hotel at all ours of the night it sounded […] like they slammed the door shut to our room because of how you could hear everything going on the construction of the room itself left much to be desired. "Noisy"

I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone,the walls were like sheets of paper. I heard the next-door person like they were in the same room with me. When you turned the water on the basin, it took anywhere from1-2minutes for same to drain out. The mattress needed to be replaced along time ago. The only good thing I can say is Michael @ the front desk […] was most helpful & a very polite individual. I wouldn't stay there when I return to New Orleans in the future. "Doubletree New Orleans-cramped, but great location"
We booked a King Bed and got a Queen, which was disappointing- and the room was much smaller than expected, not nearly as big or nice as the pictures on the website. The door slammed into the wall each time it was opened, and the bathroom was teeny. However, the view was incredible, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, it felt safe- […] and most of all- INCREDIBLE LOCATION! walking distance from EVERYTHING- no cabs were necessary. Could just run up to the room mid-day, it was great. Another downside- I could hear the conversations of the people next door and in the hallway. The pool was mediocre. Also we were annoyed when we first arrived- we were greeted to the valet man who worked for Doubletree trying to get us to valet our car with them for about $32/night.
