"Perfect family hotel in the Quarter"
Had all the things we needed - breakfast to start off the day, pool for the kids at the end of the day, nicely renovated rooms, walking distance to shops/restaurants of the Quarter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. One of the best locations in the French Quarter. Great front desk personnel to help you in any way with your preferred destination in the quarter or the rest of N.O.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Fair Stay"
About 6 or so blocks to bourbon st., and about the same to river front. The Hotel itself is a bit older, the front staff and bar staff are friendly,. older hotel, the carpets need steam cleaning, not just vacuuming, they were really dirty, and made our white socks dirty walking on them. Water not very hot at certain times.. Price was good, but quality […] was fair to low fair. I like to see this hotel have a good Clean Up...Hygiene was poor... "expensive parking, but that comes with the area"
The hotel was as expected (clean), and breakfast was fine. The waffles have a fleur-de-lis. The parking costs $20/day plus tax, but that is fairly decent for being on the upper edge of the French Quarter.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great get away!"
My and my friend went to sty in New Orleans for the first time and this hotel was perfect!! A five minute walk to downtown ad Bourbon street. Close to Cafe Du Monte and all the local tourist attractions. The room was super reasonable and very clean. We thought this hotel was perfect for us and even the outside courtyard had a French quarter theme. We […] loved out stay!! Would definitely go back!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice find in the French Quarter"
Rooms were small but clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom in our room (two double beds) had shower only and was small as well. However, if you don't plan to spend much time in the room, the size is perfectly acceptable for two people. The breakfast was excellent, a cut above the usual complimentary breakfast - fresh-scramble eggs, sausage or bacon, […] fresh baked waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice and excellent coffee. The dining area overlooks the courtyard and pool and is very roomy. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant - certainly not always the case in New Orleans. The location was an easy walk to the heart of the French Quarter and the river but was far enough away from the action to be nice and quiet. Louis Armstrong Park is just across Rampart Street and is beautiful. We were in New Orleans for a show at Mahalia Jackson Theater and were able to just walk across the park to the theater (less than 5 minutes) and avoid the traffic and parking hassle. I would certainly stay again ESPECIALLY if I were going to the theater. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"New Orleans"
Convenient to the french quarter was able to walk to Jackson Sq and local attractions, restaurants, etc. Hot breakfast served daily. Nice courtyard. Only complaint had to pay for parking at $22.00 a day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonable price and convenience location"
Complimentary continental breakfast includes hot meals such as eggs and sausages. Free Wifi in all rooms. Very close to French Quoter. Room is not small and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"NICE ALL AROUND."
Location was good. Rampart Street is on the edge of the quarter and walking distance to everything. Across the street from Louis Armstrong park, nice to stroll around. Parking $20 additional and more during Mardi Gras I heard. Breakfast was pretty good. Can't beat it for the price really. Nice staff for our stay. We were there for 6 nights and it was […] fairly quiet. Nice little courtyard. Rooms are smallish and no tubs, all showers in the double bed rooms. King rooms have tubs available. Nice lobby area and bar, quiet....I would stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The park across the street is not recommended at night, but it's still in the French Quarter, and it's clean and quiet and friendly!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for friends"
The hotel location is good. It's about block away from French Quarter. The only negative about the room is the wall paint color is little too dark and bathroom is bit small. And I felt the pillow is very uncomfortable, but i guess this is a personal taste. The best thing about hotel is the complimentary breakfast. We really liked the breakfast options […] that they offer. And the staffs are great. Very friendly. I would definitely go back when I go to New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good Experience at Best Western"
The staff, especially the bartender, were friendly. The Bartender was helpful with directions and recommendations. Restaurants he recommended were great! Our room was fine but could have used some deep cleaning. Courtyard was very nice, relaxing and cozy. Elevators could use some updating! Breakfast in the morning was good. The hotel was on the outside […] edge of French Quarter but we walked everywhere with no issues. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good room for the price."
The price of the room is great and the location is good. It is a short walk to Bourbon Street, etc. The breakfast was very good and we never had to drive anywhere. The main drawback is the room size. The room was very well maintained but was a little small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the Quarter"
But not very noisy. Which is a nice combination. It's on north Rampart, across from Armstrong Park, but good access to just about everything. Staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, Great hotel, Terrible parking"
Hotel is very updated and is in a.great location if you want to be near the French Quarters. You are only a 5 minute walk from all the entertainment on Bourbon Street plus there is a very nice park across the street. The only complaint that I have is there is limited parking check in was at 4pm we arrived at 5pm and the parking area was already full. […] They wanted people to park their cars in the middle of the rows and block other cars in and leave your keys at the front desk so they could move your car eveytime someone wanted to leave so if you wanted to leave in your car it was about a 45min ordeal just to get your car out on top of that they charge you $20.00 per day to park the only other option is to park on the street which I wouldn't advise anyone to do. There is no where near enough parking for the amount of rooms they have Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ok for the price"
The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms seemed clean. Rooms are very small and kind of dark. The room AC didn't seem to be cooling even though it was on the lowest setting and it wasn't even really that hot outside. There was a building next door that was just feet from the door and front window. Not sure if that was where the noise was coming […] from but was loud during the night. "Loved the room, skip the breakfast."
Booked her for an over night stay near the French Quarter. Walking distance from Bourbon St, across the street from Armstrong Park. Beautiful room gracious staff. Traffic noise as its directly on N.Rampart, but even that was really not an issue. The only disappointment was the free breakfast. But Hey, it FREE! Besides there are so many really good places […] to get a great breakfast for a low price, why quibble over powdered eggs. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great location on edge of French quarter. Breakfast was good with eggs and bacon or sausage and the other typical hotel breakfast fare. Hotel bar was just as overpriced as other places in area. Rooms are smaller but I suspect this is on par for French quarter area. Both my wife and I woke each morning with back pain with not the best mattress. Ac was […] loud and either too hot or too cold. Pool was nice with the typical over chlorination of a hotel pool. Staff were nice and friendly except bar tender was a bit cold and stoic. Overall not bad for money. With 5 of us we probably saved a 70-100 each day on breakfast. We stayed for 5 days. Had wifi but would log you out every hour or so. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice quaint hotel for the family"
The hotel was nice just not as close to the river walk and convention center as I'd hoped. The staff was very friendly. The only reason I will not stay at this hotel again is the walking distance to the places I frequent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great family vacation in Nawlins!"
The hotel is nice and convenient to everything you could want to do in the French Quarter and surrounding areas. The room itself was cozy (small) for the 4 of us but nice & clean. Hotel staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. When we asked for extra shampoo, they brought it to us right away. The free breakfast in the morning was a great money saving […] option! There was eggs (runny), potatoes, bacon/sausage, Saints waffles, cereal/oatmeal, and drinks. With a family of four this saved us money! The kids enjoyed the pool especially in hot/humid weather. I would recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating lodging near the French Quarter! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Family Friendly"
We recently traveled to New Orleans with our 2 elementary aged children. The Best Western was a good choice for us. Our room was comfortable and the mini fridge in the room was a great asset. The pool was the highlight for our kids. We enjoyed the staffs suggestions on tours to take. The hotel is a few minute walk away from the Quarter. We would definately […] return to the Best Western for our next trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"This review is to be see by managment only."
Just two issues that continued for our 5 day stay: 1. The parking did not support the number of guess at the hotel, 2. There was a big problem with the hot and cold water, the room did not have any cold water and the hot and cold side was boiling hot, could not take showers on three afternoons because there was no cold water. Call manager on those two […] days to get it fixed and was told to just turn the cold side on for a while and it would get cold, well we did and we never got cold water. Steam even rose out of the toilet, because of the hot water going to the toilet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western French Quarter"
Very laid back about rules. Arrived in town at 9:30 am, they let us in a room at 11:30 am instead of the usual 3 or 4 pm. Swimming at 6:30 am in the pool that officially didn't open till later! Staff was very cooperative and laid back, asked for room cleaning after 1 pm and they complied. Huge continental breakfast till 9:30 am, though menu was the […] same each day. And the hotel was across the street from Louis Armstrong National Historical Park and Mahalia Jackson Center, a cool place both for design and temperature, with 100 foot wide Live Oaks providing shade. Jackson Square, Canal Street, Frenchman's and the steamboat were far apart from each other, but we could walk to any of them in 15 minutes. This hotel is also far enough from Bourbon Street (three blocks) that there was no noise or wandering drunks at night, but a walk there took only seven minutes. And the pool was great and in a beautiful courtyard garden, and almost always empty! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great for the Price"
I was not sure when I booked the hotel how nice it would be based on other reviews that I read. However, the hotel was clean, the staff was helpful and curteous, breakfast was good, and the room was clean. They could have used some new seals around the room door as we could see light all around and it got humid during the day. We walked to the French […] Quarter from the hotel during the day and at night with a 2 year old and a 4 year old and didnt have any issues. Knowing New Orleans, you do not want to travel too far across Rampart at night but as long as you stay on the Quarter side you are fine. All in all, it was a great trip and the kids had a blast.
