"Good choice, great location"
Good hotel and great location. Very nice personnel. Some issues with noise coming from adjacent property - dogs barking, very loud air conditioner going on and off - but I think that depends on where your room is located. The room could have done with some better cleaning - there were long hairs everywhere, bathroom walls had some dripping marks and […] some traces of coffee splattered on wall above the bedside table. The hotel is very conveniently located and at a short walking distance from all major attractions. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

parking space for vehicle was way too tight. took longer to park than check in. our room was on the inside. very happy about that. dont think i would've wanted to stay where the door opens up to outside.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dress warm in November."
Hotel had a problem with hot water, first day and following morning none - luke warm to cold shower on 11/13. No heat in room on 11/14, had to change room. 11/15 hot water in new room so hot it was dangerous and could not be cooled by turning valve to cold, it would shut off. Reported all to front desk. Staff was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Be Cautious"
The Best Western has done a good job of renovating the hotel itself and the room was comfortable. It did have a strong disinfectant smell. The complimentary continental breakfast is a good bonus. The main problem is the location on N. Rampart St. It is only a couple of blocks to Bourbon St. but also very close to the projects. The surrounding streets […] are not well lit and it is a dark walk at night that made us uncomfortable when other people were not on the street. For this reason, we will not stay here again. "French quarter"
Loved that the hotel was close to the French quarter. Clean and renovated. Parking is an issue when the hotel is full. Cars were being blocked by other cars when we came out in the morning. The rooms were small and the air conditioner was VERY noisy! Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Courtyard with pool was nice. Neighborhood on ordering rampart […] street was very sketchy. "Not close to must-see locations."
The location was very bad. The surrounding neighborhood was run down. To get to the desired tourist locations you had to walk through some bad looking neighborhoods. Would not stay there again. Hotel was clean and had a good full breakfast. No problems there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Realizing that New Orleans hotels can gouge people, this hotel is an reasonable option that is not far from Bourbon Street. Just don't stay there thinking it's going to be part of some romantic weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Moldy Room, otherwise great"
My room was moldy. It gave me allergies... woke up every morning with puffy eyes and a stuffed up nose. As soon as I left my room, it went away. Otherwise, really great price! If your room isn't like mine, then it's TOTALLY worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel is nice. But... You can hear everthing thru the walls. Staff was OK for NOLA. Long walk to everthing.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Maid service was lacking. Rooms were dark due to Dark Brown Paint on walls. Hotel location was on the outskirts of the French Quarters - okay to be walking around by day but recommend cab during the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not Impressed"
My first stay at a Best Western for only a night. It left a bad impression on me. The location, close to Bourbon St is convenient but the cleanliness of the room was not good. I found a couple of fingernails on my bed which was a pretty nasty surprise for me. I also found long hair in the shower. I knew the shower was not cleaned because the hair was […] there before I ever took a shower and I knew it was not mine because I am a short-haired guy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"a lttle off the beaten path"
Hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were clean and modern including plasma TV. The breakfast was supple but consistly the same. This hotel sits on the very edge of the French Quarter and so its quite a hike to river front where most of the attractions are.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just for the French Q"
This Hotel is conveniently located on one side of the French Q. Its location allows easy access to the area including the harbor where you can take the Natches to ride on the Mississipi river. The room itself was not very new and could be a bit better in terms of space and clarity. Bathroom was ok and clean. It was quiet too. Breakfast was good and […] the choice was broad. $20-30 per day to park your car at the hotel is a lot... and there isn't any other safe choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Good Place if You're Not Disabled"
The hotel was really quite nice, but the biggest problem was that the elevator was extremely tiny. People had so much trouble loading and unloading their carts of luggage. If you had a lot of luggage then you were out of luck. At the max, you could fit four regular people inside, but the elevators really didn't leave much room for people in wheelc […] hairs. "Best Western Landmark Hotel"
The room was very clean - location is on the outskirts of french quarter - bourbon street only 4 blocks away but a little bit shady walk to get there (but only a $4.50 cab ride back to the hotel at night). The staff was pleasant - bartender at restaurant was great - waited on us at the pool so we wouldn't need to come back in to order drinks. Continental […] breakfast was great but only left out til 9:30 a.m. (would have appreciated a little more time). Only one soda machine and no place for Sundries. Pool was small but very nice. "Bad Service"
Recently renovated rooms make this hotel tolerable if you're on a budget. Hotel service was poor - sink pipes needed repair while we were in the room for several hours. We woke up one morning to hear construction in an adjacent room. When we complained to the front desk, they barely apologized. The service is definitely subpar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Road Warrior says, "Well staffed, but needs help.""
Let me begin by saying the desk staff, Robert and big "T" had a great sense of humor and were very accommodating. Despite a few bumps in the road shortly after check-in, they truly went out of their way to ensure satisfaction. That by itself has the ability to make or break a stay anywhere, and its importance cannot be overstated. THE ROOM: Be aware, […] wireless internet connectivity is spotty due to router location and is not of sufficient signal strength to connect in all rooms. Otherwise the room was not bad in decor, clean, and reasonably comfortable for the price. Mine had a microwave and fridge, which is always on the must list of accessories. Two of the rooms had a window a/c unit, the one I eventually got had a larger closet unit with a digital thermostat and worked very well. THE HOTEL: Be aware they DO charge for guest parking on premises, presumably due to the proximity to the quarter, but it is in a reasonably secure atrium area within the hotel itself. This fact will be especially appreciated when you see the neighborhood you have to pass through between the Esplanade exit off the I-10 and Rampart. Continental breakfast was so-so, but plenty of it. The hotel bar is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. OVERALL: For the price, not bad for a weekender, but New Orleans is definitely a Thursday-Sunday town. Most people say don't rent a car in N.O., but my readers all know I strongly disagree with this philosophy almost universally. Walking in the quarter is almost a must, but do rent the car. It's a long walk with food and/or beverages from the nearest store unless you're prepared to depend on buying everything at the markup price charged by local establishments and have nothing on hand in the room. "Best Western in French Quarters - N.O."
It was a good hotel. I was surprised to that there was no valet parking, a small parking lot and no bell hop service. The staff was friendly. It is located on the outskirts of the French Quarters, so be prepared to walk!!!! The only negative part of my stay was that our room was not cleaned/serviced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
staff friendly, breakfast very good, hotel could be spruced up. Because of all the smokers around the courtyard we did not feel comfortable using the pool area or sitting out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"good location"
Discovering the 20 dollars + tax for parking per night was not the best introduction, nor the lack of direction to our room on the third floor by the receptionist, as it took us 10 minutes with heavy cases to find it. You would think 339 would be between 338 and 340, but illogically, it was (and with no indication) on a completely separate back corridor. After […] this things picked up. The room was fine, the pool a good place to cool off in the afternoon after city sightseeing and the breakfast offered a wider variety than in most places we had stayed. THe hotel location is very good as it is right on the edge of the French Quarter and it is easy to walk to the sights. Avoid the ATM in the lobby which will only give you a maxmum of 100 dollars and charge you 3 for the privilege. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"An oasis......."
Arrival at the hotel indicated that website photos were somewhat flattering and a guy at the bar with his shirt off did little to reassure me that this was the cream of Best Western's crop. The first room we were assigned had no table or desk for our laptop so we asked for another which we were duly given. This turned out to be a good move as the second […] room was much lighter and more spacious. The whole hotel has a musty, damp smell but maybe that's unavoidable in New Orleans. Kind of off-putting though. Despite being close to the Bourbon Street action, the hotel is actually quite quiet and we slept very well. Breakfast was fine too and there's a nice pool and leafy patio outside. It's an oasis in the middle of this mad, noisy, boisterous place The location is definitely a bonus....everywhere in the French Quarter is walkable and buses to attractions further afield can be caught at Canal Street. You can also catch the trolley/streetcar here for about $1.25 (40c if you're a senior!) All in all this was a perfectly pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good and bad rooms available. Choose carefully."
Good and bad. We stayed for 4 nights and 3 were great. The first room we got was next to the lift well and the lift made a whirring noise that echoed through our room. We got a quick change of rooms and into a room that had been used for weeks by a very very heavy smoker even though the hotel is completely non smoking. The wheeze from that night is […] still with me. We got a second change the next day and the room was quite good. Sooo if you book, be sure not to get room 203 because of the noise or 208 unless you like smoke smell. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
