"Bachelorette Party"
Had to wait til exact check-in time after calling at time of booking & requesting early check-in. Staff was great except for housekeeping & second shift front desk person. This hotel is in a great location if you want a hotel that is close to Bourbon St. It is an older hotel but it is kept very clean. There is a small but nice pool. Great location for a three night stay. Easy to get anywhere in French Quarter. Great staff. Quiet compared to Bourbon Street. "Reasonable room at a reasonable rate."
It is a decent hotel, clean and convenient. Parking is valet only which is pricey, but our car arrived quickly each time we requested it. It is 1 block from Bourbon Street and 2 block from Canal. This hotel was well-located and has some nice features, including a lovely pool area, great lounge and restaurant and a pleasant lobby area. We had a rental car and although the valet pakring at the hotel was too expensive, we didn't fret and found another, cheaper 24/7 lot 1 block away. We also were able to parek on the street for free beginning Saturday […] eve through Monday morning! The rooms were spacious but sparse. No refrigerator or in-room coffee, although coffee was free in the lobby. Also, free in-room wi-fi which is always a plus. This stay turned out to be just days after Hurricane Isaac parked itself over SE Louisiana and dumped tons of rain on the area and the city. The hotel apparently had water damage as a result, and when I arrived they were scrambling to get rooms prepared and ready.
