"clean and comfortable"

"Nice place to stay with the kids"
The stay here was very nice. It was a good location from the French Quarters and all the sites. We walked everywhere we went. The staff was very nice. "Walking distance to Canal St"
Even there was construction going on out the hotel to the street it was a nice quiet stay here. Our room was right out side the pool and it was nice and very peaceful. I like that the pool was closed at 10:00pm to be considerate of the guests who had pool side rooms, I believe the sliding doors to the pool was sound proof because you wouldn't even know […] anyone was out there unless you looked out. The only negative thing I can say that they have poor internet connection. The food there is awesome just in case you decide to order room service...kudos to the chef. "Nice Hotel"

"Service not so good - extra charges"
Hotel fine, but having specified 2 adults and 3 kids no rollout bed was provided the first night (after 2 requests) and I had to sleep on the floor. We were also charged extra for this. We would have been more comfortable if the room had queen sized beds. Unfortunately, all the hotels we looked at on line only provided double beds and our family of 4 is on the larger side. There are a lot of damaged properties everywhere in the city including the surrounding neighbourhood due to Katrina which will take several years to repair or rebuild. "Mostly good but not a great stay"
The staff were helpful and courteous, but the free hourly shuttle did not run on schedule. It left early once, so we missed it, and it ran late the second time, so walking would have been faster. There are still 1-2 blocks of gutted buildings and ongoing renovation, so the neighborhood is not good for walking at night.
