    Can't beat the location. All of the staff go out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. My main complaint is the room itself...very small and... nothing special for the very high price we paid. It was called a "deluxe" room, but I've stayed in better, larger rooms at a Motel 6. The beds are very comfortable, but be warned that if you like a very firm mattress you probably won't like these beds. The hallways spelled old and moldy. Love the elevator system and the fabulous lobby. For the price they charge there should definitely be free wi fi in the rooms...big disappointment. by a Hotels.com guest on 05/07/13

    Overview

    Location.
    Located in the French Quarter, this New Orleans hotel rises high over Bourbon Street. Aquarium of the Americas is 2 blocks from the Marriott New Orleans, and the boutiques and restaurants of Riverwalk Marketplace are 4 blocks away.

    Hotel Features.
    Marriott New Orleans has a smoke-free policy. Two outdoor pools (one for children) are located between the hotel's two towers. A 24-hour fitness center boasts views of the Mississippi River Bridge. The Marriott's restaurant showcases New Orleans cuisine, including Cajun and Creole fare. A Starbucks is located in the lobby. The 55 Fahrenheit Wine Bar and Lounge offers more than 200 wines, along with classic cocktails and a bar menu. The hotel also features 80,000 square feet (7,432 square meters) of meeting and banquet space.

    The 1,329 guestrooms are located in two high-rise buildings. Some of the parades go right by the hotel, although to get the best viewing spots, it's better to walk up to St. Charles than to stay on Canal Street.     I had a wonderful cozy stay. i would definitely reccommend this motel to all. The ease of valet parking was handy too. i will have to say that the drinks in the bar downstairs were very expensive and too strong.

    It was a nice hotel and the service was decent. The only problems I had with them was we had three people in our party. We had to request a rollaway bed and our room was already tight. I felt we should have been offered a room with a couch bed or something. Also, their bathroom had no ventilation. Other than that the stay was good.

    I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. I keep going back. This is the first hotel I call when I am headed to New Orleans.

    Offers great location to the river front, harrahs casino and Buorbon St. With access to all public transportation just outside the hotel. The new elevator method is great and makes it such and ease when the hotel is packed for a festival or event. Overall it was the right price for the right size of trip

    The hotel is in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Not having a fridge in the room is the only negative for me.

    They gave me the wrong room at first, once they got me the right one it had no veiw but a wall. I have stayed at cheaper hotel that at least had a microwave and mini-fridge. I feel like they over charge for what little they offer.

    Great location, right down the street from all the bars and restaurants. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms. Staff at check in and out were very friendly and fast to work through the crowds of new years eve traffic. We forgot our jackets in the room after we checked out and the cleaning staff was extremely helpful at locating them and calling us back […] on our cell phone to come get it. We stayed to sight see after check out and they allowed us to keep our stuff in a room while wandering around town. Very helpful, awesome experience for my first time in New Orleans.
