This was my first time in New Orleans and we had a blast. the hotel was soaking me from Bourbon Street to the river and for the price it was amazing. everything was very convenient that hotel is very clean staff very friendly and you cannot beat the price. You can't ask for a better location in New Orleans. Great hotel. I only have 2 complaints: 1. the room (standard king) seemed small 2. the swimming pool did not get much sunlight because it is between the two Marriott towers.

The room was very small for a hotel of this quality. The hallways and room smelled musty. Needed to run the air conditioner a little chilly to keep the air clear. The staff however were great and definitely what you would expect from a hotel of this quality.

We stayed on our honeymoon and everything was wonderful we have trouble finding a negative but if we did we would say the room service food was not good at all.

My only problem with the hotel was that the room was too small and there was neither a refrigerator or microwave in the room. I have some medication that I need to take everynight before bed and it needs to refrigerated. However I did ask the staff about this and they bought us up a small one at no extra charge, but microwaves were not available, also […] the only internet service was in the lobby area and again the small rooming quarters made us feel a little cluster-phobic and therefore the need to be outdoors a lot more and longer then we would have liked on some days, but everything else was great. Centrally lo located to all downtown sites and restaurants. Great hotel with a beautiful view of river and city. Highly recommend.

This hotel is in a great location - close to bourbon and decatur - all within walking distance. Lobby is nice but rooms are very tired and need to be updated. Old wallpaper, peeling paint, dingy carpet. Bathroom had granite but shower was terrible - no water pressure. For the loyal Marriott rewards members, this is NOT the standard high quality Marriott […] that you are used to. The hotels.com rating of 3.5 stars is overly generous and not accurate. Overall the stay was good, the rooms were clean although small, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was really close to the french quarter and Bourbon street-perfect for those who want to see a little bit of everything. We had a beautiful view facing the river. The only issue was that the barges going […] through the canal would honk no matter what time it was-one night it was 3:30 in the morning! My husband and I just got up and enjoyed the view and the fact that we were that close to the river so we weren't too terribly upset. Overall great hotel and would recommend it to others. Read more

This hotel is really close to the french quarter, where we spent a lot of our time whilst in New Orleans. Canal Street however wasn't the nicest street to walk down - didn't feel totally safe I'Hop down the street was decent for breakfast.
