"Close to all must see sights"
Overall good except I was right next to an elevator at the JW Marriot which made it impossible to sleep those three night then moved to Marriot and finally got a chance to sleep until cleaning crew knocked repeatly on the door at 9 am. You would think they would have a list of guest who have already checked out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

ALL THE THINGS IN THE ROOM WERE TOO SMALL, BATHROOM, COFFE MAKER. AT NIGHT VERY NOISY, I THINK THE ELEVATORS MAKE A LOT OF NOISE. IN THE OTHER HAND WE LIKE YOUR RESTAURANT.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good not great"
Can't beat the location. All of the staff go out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. My main complaint is the room itself...very small and nothing special for the very high price we paid. It was called a "deluxe" room, but I've stayed in better, larger rooms at a Motel 6. The beds are very comfortable, but be warned that if you like a very […] firm mattress you probably won't like these beds. The hallways spelled old and moldy. Love the elevator system and the fabulous lobby. For the price they charge there should definitely be free wi fi in the rooms...big disappointment. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lower Canal Street"
Nice older Marriott. Very small bathroom with low shower water pressure. Housekeeping was a bit below par on responsiveness, but did a good job overall. Web access is daily fee but very fast. 5 Fifty 5 restaurant serves excellent food. Intelligent elevator system is fast, fun to use. Good location if walking city. Street car access super handy. Doormen […] are incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. River views from upper floors (25 and above) are super. Would stay here again...but NOT during Spring Break. "PERFECT LOCATION"
My stay was excellent with the exception that the ventilation fan is a little to loud. But excellent in regards to the in-room dinning. The food was excellent and I love the fact that you can order late.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"View worth the money.."
I expected the room to be a little bigger, but the staff was friendly and it was in the best possible location to the Quarter and especially Bourbon Street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"View of River and downtown"
The hotel itself was very nice, as far as our room and the price we paid, I was not happy with it. We had family that stayed across the street that had a much nicer room and paid half what we did. Our bathroom was small, not enough towells and washrags for our guest, had to call housekeeping. The sink in the bathroom leaked at the top which kept the […] counter wet. No garbage bags in the room just the cans. Over all an ok room, but very dissatisfied. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Hotel. Great French Quarter location."
Stayed here during Mardi Gras 2013. It was a great location. Some of the parades go right by the hotel, although to get the best viewing spots, it's better to walk up to St. Charles than to stay on Canal Street. It's a very short walk to Bourbon Street and anywhere else in the French Quarter for that matter. Parking is expensive. Free wifi in the lobby. […] The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. It's hard to go wrong with a Marriott. Overall, I was very pleased and would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Mardi Gras and pre-cruise stay"
We stayed here on the Fri of Mardi Gras weekend. We were given armbands to allow us access the hotel. It is on Canal Street, so that front door was closed and we had to use the Motor Court entrances. Check in was prompt and efficient. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room so we could see parades out our window, but since we'd already paid $300+, […] we didn't want to spend $60 more. As it was, we could see the end of the parade routes out our 11th floor window. The room was 2 double beds, and very nice. Coffee maker, toiletries, nice TV. However, our room backed up to the elevators which ran all night and sounded like thunder in the room. We didn't ask to be moved because we assumed the entire hotel was full of Mardi Gras people. We needed a taxi to the cruise pier on Sat morning, and it wasn't clear that we had to ask a bellhop to get us one. He had to go a block away, out the motor court to the next block away from Canal and still had trouble getting somebody to stop, probably due to Mardi Gras parade closures. Nice hotel except for the elevator noises. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
One complaint. Could not park at hotel for two days do to not enough parking. Should have a parking spot for each guest. So, we had to pay an outrageous amount for parking another lot till there was room for us to park at the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

$40.00 a night to park. Was not told of this charge. You pay for your stay as much as you do park should be free.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"GREAT location"
The best location to be in New Orleans. Parking is extremely expensive $35 per night, and internet is not complementary and they charge $15 per night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wanted a King bed and got stuck with two full beds"
Arrived at this hotel at 3:00 which is the earliest check in time. I had requested a king size bed when booking and was told they didn't have any available or that were ready. I was outraged with it being so early in the day. If it had been later during the day, yes , one could understand the availability be limited or taken up. So instead of getting […] a king I was stuck with two full beds (not even queens). Warning - Be wary of what you will wind up with. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location in NOLA"
Very good hotel and unbeatable location. It's a very large hotel so expect crowds during busy periods. Only valet parking and can take a while to drop and retrieve your car. Elevators very efficient but noisy (you can hear them from the rooms).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stayed here before"
We have stayed at this hotel before and like it a lot. This time however we were not very happy with the parking situation, they did not have parking for paying hotel guests and we had to park 8 blocks away in a pretty seedy neighborhood. If we would have know there was not going to be parking at the hotel we would have stayed somewhere else. Hotel […] made no effort to help us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant stay."
Only problem was the hotel garage telling me that they were no longer parking over sized vehicles in their garage upon arrival. Had to take my quad cab and park it about 4 or 5 blocks from the hotel. They did let us unload our bags and check-in before parking elsewhere. The garage they directed me too was extremely compact and had very worry-some tight […] turns for my vehicle. Despite the parking issue it was a pleasant stay, with helpful staff, and good service. Good location. Much to do in walking distance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for the French Quarter"
Great location for the French Quarters. Water is very soft and the tub floor becomes very slippery. Check in was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok. Expensive."
Rooms was smaller than I am used to. Towels were rough. Close to everything in the French Quarter. Parking fee is absurd on top of having to tip every time you took your car out and brought it back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, meh ambiance"
This is your hotel if you're looking for a great location, competitive rates, and not planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel. It has to be one of the older Marriotts in NOLA and clearly designed as an old-school convention/downtown venue. If you're not planning to spend much time in your room or around the hotel, this is the place for you. Couldn't […] believe WiFi in your room isn't complimentary (only in lobby area)! "Great location in the French Quarter."
Great location in the French Quarter. Staff was very friendly. Room was OK. The city had a water issue when we were there, so for half a day, we couldn't take a shower or drink or brushing our teeth using the tap water, but the hotel was very accomodating and gave us bottled water. "Good Location."
My view of the city was great...stayed on 31st floor overlooking river. Room was comfortable (deluxe) but unimpressive. Beds were very comfortable. Internet was $14.95 per day and free in lobby, no safe for belongings, no refrigerator (I called way in advance for one and when I got there they did not have one for me); no robes. Pool was great. "Great stay!"
Went to celebrate my sister's upcomnig wedding. The room was awesome, housekeeping was great, staff (concierge, bellmen, desk) were very helpful. Location is excellent. Note that none of their rooms have queen beds... you get a king or two doubles. That was odd to me. My sole complaint was the valet parking. You are required to pay $35/night for parking, […] 1st of all. When you're already paying a decent amoutn for the room, I found this kind of steep. At any rate, there's free in & out, which was terrific, however there were two times that we waited in the sweltering humidity for 20+ minutes waiting on our vehicle. Granted, more often than not, our vehicle was brought down pretty quickly, but those two times were rather frustrating. So the coordination & staffing of the very friendly valet staff could be improved. The valet staff did bring us bottles of water after we let them we had been waiting for 15+ minutes. You can call down to have your car ready at a set time, but twice we were told it was too busy to do so (?). So yes, highly recommend this hotel, although plan for a little extra $$$ to go to parking & give yourself some ample time to get out if you need your car. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good and not so good"
I've stayed in this hotel many times. It's a very nice hotel with excellent access to the French Quarter and the sights. Unfortunately, the parking situation was a major joke on this trip. The hotel has apparently contracted their parking to another company....big mistake. I was unable to park in the hotel lot (reserved for paying guests...hah!) Fortunately, […] I was able to park about one block away (for less money!!!) and not fight the valet problem. This was a significant change from prior experiences. The hotel staff was excellent, service was very good. The bed, however, was lumpy. Having said that, the breakfast was excellent and all other aspects of the hotel were more than satisfactory. I spoke to other guests at the hotel who experienced the same parking issues (and worse). This is the only real blot on a very good hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nawlins Hotel near Everything"
The hotel is well run and clean, as you would expect for the price you pay and the Marriott brand. However, the staff there are 5 star rated, in my opinion. And, the breakfast buffet was the best I've sampled in many years, if not ever. From the standard fare to the custom omellettes, to the Nawlins specialties and all of the rest it was excellent and […] I highly recommend it.
