"More than I expected!"
We got a very nice spacious room for the price! Its not a luxury hotel but I expected a single cramped room for the 2 adult n 3 child booking. It was a nice surprise! Great area too! I have stayed here several times before and have never left dissatisfied. We know what we're getting here: a clean room, free breakfast, and a pretty good location. It has free WIFI, although on this trip I did not use it much. The USA Today was available for free on weekdays. "2nd stay was no better."
2nd time staying at this hotel cause the first stay was ok. This time there was no heat at the pool and no lights worked there either. The beds seemed smaller and more uncomfortable. The lobby smelled like bad B.O.. The lady at the front desk was more worried about other things than getting us checked in. "Days Inn North-Knoxville"
We had 2 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were nice, clean, and fairly good maintenance. Did notice that one electrical outlet in our room was out of service, and the other one was loose from the wall, but otherwise everything worked. The continental breakfast was nice, not overdone. "Not at all impressive"
For the price the rooms are bad-non smoking aggravated my asthma; bathrooms are stained, toilet was not working, shower curtain slides to the middle of the rod. Was hoping that the whole thing does not collapse down in a heap. Ceilings are moldy and painted over to cover it up. The AC unit blasts straight on to your face making respiratory problems […] worse. Food provided at breakfast is of low quality, apples stale and damaged. This is probably one of the nicer Days Inns that I have stayed at. It is very affordable accommodation, and the staff are pleasant. It is however located in the north of Knoxville, and is not in the most convenient of locations. It is a reasonable drive from the downtown and airport areas, and not close to Oak Ridge.
