Staff was friendly and accommodating even though we arrived 15 minutes after the office was closed for the evening. There was ample hotel parking. The room was 'dated' and simple but quite clean. This is a small dated motel in the quiet picturesque town of Cambria. The management is very responsive and friendly. We got there 20 minutes before check in but our room was not ready, which is fine. We took our dog for a walk. She asked if we wanted to upgrade to a balcony room, which we did. We paid extra but did not use it at all. We were on the first floor and the people above us were smoking on the balcony and the ashes fell on our balcony. Why would I sit out […] there now? Then outside the balcony smelled like urine. What a waste of an upgrade. The room was cleaned when we got there and they cleaned it every day for us. That's a plus. However, the equipment was outdated and things were falling apart. I wouldn't stay here again. Unfortunately it was a last minute trip and this place was available. I know why now. Read more

My family came to Cambria, CA to stay for two nights. We are frequent weekend travelers and have stayed at many locations in the Cambria area. Our desire was to take our pet dog for thr first time on vacation and the Inn was a pleasant welcome as we discovered that they have 7 pet friendly rooms. I come to find out that the town, which is within walking […] distance, has become more conscious of travelers that include their pets. I wourd recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good value. Rooms are pretty large and clean. Ours had a balcony and a flat screen TV. For the price we paid, and considering we only need a place to sleep and take off in the morning to explore the area, this is a very good option. The only dowfall is the noise from neighboring rooms. This hotel was tolerable but I would recommend staying somewhere else in Cambria. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat. The linens were very cheap. Overall the decor was dated. I found 2 spiders in the bathroom. The shower head was at my eye level so I had to do some acrobatics to get my hair clean. On the plus side the staff was very pleasant […] and helpful. The location is great and many great restaurants are within easy walking distance (like the Sows Ear which I definitely recommend). Overall, I would not stay here again. Read more

This hotel delivered for the price - clean and conveniently located - 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. The walls are thin (light sleepers bring ear plugs) and could do with a fresh coat of paint but in all other respects we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back.

The only minor issue I had was that the room was short on electrical outlets. Providing an outlet strip/surge protector would be a nice addition. I hope to stay here again the next time I pass through Cambria.

The Creekside Inn was more than accommodating to us on our recent stay. It is close walking distance to one end of town, not so much to the other. Close enough to the beach. The people that run the Inn were fantastic. That is why I would go back again.
