"Good Hotel Chain, Bad Apple"
I am a fan of the Hyatt House chain. They have nice, well decorated and spacious rooms. They tend to be newer and well maintained hotels. Raleigh's Hyatt House was nice as well - in terms of furniture, layout, convenience. However, their housekeeping services are abysmal. The cleaning staff did not make the bed - merely pulling up the sheets. The sheets […] required changing and they did not do so. When I called to the front desk I was told housekeeping was gone for the day and they "would see what they can do." They eventually sent a maintenance man, after I went to the front desk to speak to someone in person, and he told me that housekeeping was still there but "just didn't feel like coming up because it's the end of her day." "Great value"
Loved the decorating throughout the hotel. Modern and classy. Large room with sitting/kitchen area. Nice big LCD TV and HD channels. Pillow top mattress too soft for me. Nice breakfast including home made omelets though they take a while. I had an urge to turn up the temp. on the cook top so each omelet didn't take 8 or 10 minutes. "Best breakfast ever!"
Located in a quite area outside of Raleigh close to the airport. However, I didn't hear airplane noise. This hotel has all the amenities (free parking, free internet, the best breakfast ever, outside pool, workout facilities and bar). This hotel chain used to be Hotel Sierra. "Weekend getaway"

The overall hotel was really good. We looked forward to having breakfast but were a bit disappointed in the food quality, especially the omeletes. Very nice, clean hotel. Was disappointed that the bar/restaurant was not open on a holiday weekend (July 4th), and the pool closes much, much too early (8:00). Was also a little put off that the breakfast buffet that was supposed to be open until 10:00 was completely taken down by 9:40. This is the second Hotel Sierra that I have visited. I have always been pleased with this chain of hotels, but I was very well pleased with this particular one all except two things; the cable service was crappy with limited channels and fuzzy picture and complimentary breakfast could be a little better. This hotel was fantastic; hidden among a business park only minutes from Raleigh, I never would have looked for a hotel here had I not read a previous review. The only downside is that there is NOTHING in the immediate vicinity except for an office park and the highway to the airport.
