Set on the world's largest natural harbor, Hampton features the biggest stone fort ever built in the United States: Fort Monroe. The fort contains the Casemate Museum and such historical draws as the cell that held Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Conversely, the Virginia Air and Space Center offers more otherworldly sights, with exhibits of Apollo 12's Command Module and a Mars meteorite.see all hotels in Hampton
Only problem was the noise at the back door. People were coming in until 1am and the door was making a very loud noise when it closed. We were 2 rooms up from that door. They should do something to make it shut easier when someone enters... Everything else was wonderful...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad. Perfect for travelers on a budget."
Needed a room with a kitchenette because we were bringing our own food. I assumed when it said there was "cookware" it meant a pot and pan, but it meant plastic spatula and spoon. We checked in after hours and the woman was very nice. What was not nice was being woken up at 4:45AM every day with a wake up call we didn't request. Also, the morning after […] we checked in, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9AM and woke us up. The shower head was extremely lower than normal which was okay for y 5'1 stature but not for my boyfriend who had to duck under the shower head. Everything in the room was very clean and everyone who worked there was nice. The hotel is located near plenty of stores and restaurants which was nice and only a 10 minute drive to the beach. Perfect for us because we were on a budget, and I think worth the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The only thing needed here is the carpets in the hallway needs cleaning. But the carpets did not reflect the niceness of the rooms. They probably struggle keeping the carpet clean because they have kids throughout the building. This is an extended stay place so take that into consideration when you go. A little different than an overnight hotel but […] was very nice. And great for the price. My room was fine. Oh, they need to go wifi .......I even got to work out in the gym..
