"Questionable Value"
We have reviewed over 40 hotels on this website during the past two years and this hotel is the most difficult to rate or review. We stayed in this hotel (the Residence Inn New Bedford) because it was rated "outstanding" on the hotels.com website. Well it is clearly not outstanding. It is mediocre at best. The beds were lumpy and miserable to sleep […] on. The swimming pool was cold and the hot tub was too hot. The breakfast was standard and nothing special. The morning person behind the front desk was rude. We stayed at this hotel for two nights because we had prepaid, but seriously considered moving out anyhow. All of this considered, the room was relatively large and it was clean; but come on -- clean? Is that why you want to stay in a hotel, because it is clean? It SHOULD be clean, and a lot more.
