Located right on the harbor and less than 3 miles from Kahului Airport, this Kahului, Hawaii hotel is a half-mile from several shopping malls, 2 miles from Kahana Beach Park, and 5 miles from Iao Valley State Park. Swimming beaches are located in Kihei, 14 miles away.
Hotel Features.
The Maui Beach Hotel features an oceanfront lawn decorated with tiki statues. Guest amenities include an outdoor pool, sundeck, restaurant and cocktail lounge, ballroom, and five meeting rooms totalling 5,200 square feet (468 square meters). Guests have access to a nearby golf course in Kihei. Though situated on the beach, the rocky coastline is not safe for swimming. Wired internet access is complimentary, and a computer station is available. An airport shuttle service is also provided during certain hours.

Don't let the pics fool you. This is one of Maiu's old hotels. The rooms are more like motel rooms. The A/C unit is an old school wall unit. The carpet looks 10 years old and smells like it too. Felt tricked coming here. We reserved a queen, but got stuck with two doubles, so my husband's feet hung off. Wifi is only in the lobby. The hotel is easy to get to. It is about 5 minutes from the Kahului airport & in a central location to food & shopping. The hotel itself is well kept, the pool area is very nice plus there is a beach area out back that can be accessed via the back lawn area. The room key (to be used twice - once to get into the corridor and once to get into the room) used to get demagnetized too often. Arrived In Maui at 9:00pm. Hotel is close to airport, has free parking. Staff very friendly and efficient. Room was quiet and after a good night sleep awoke to look outside. Nice place. Close to the airport with a great complimentary shuttle, not just to & from the airport, but to places within 5 miles of the hotel!!! Used it to go to dinner. Has nice grounds that is next to a small beach. Step off the grounds right on to a beach which is near a boat launch for the Hawaiian outrigger boats! The hotel is showing signs of […] aging. View of the ocean but also of some industrial plant across the water. Sugar cane fields are nearby which they burn periodically. We were slightly alarmed by the smell of "fire" during the night to find out later that it was the smell of cane fields being burned. THAT changed the picture entirely and I liked the cultural experience post-facto!!! Rooms are nice, nothing special. Our room did have an ocean view -nice. Rooms have WIRED internet access that does not work for those of us with TABLETS which do not have ethernet ports!!
