inexpensive, good location if you need to work downtown but can't afford those expensive luxeries. BUT, rooms are ok, no safes, need them in this area of town, shower head broke. worse of all the "breakfast" is not that good. coffee weak, watered down. "Better than expected. Great value!"
I stayed for two weeks for work and had a great experience. The couple that runs the hotel are very nice and accomodating. It's conveniently located within walking distance of a bar (with great food) and a diner. The neighborhood feels nice and safe. The rooms are very inexpensive, the only reason I can see is that the decorations and fixtures of the […] hotel haven't been updated since the late 80s; but all work well enough. Other than the aesthetic decorations, it was a clean standard hotel room. I had a nice fridge in my room, as requested. The continental breakfast was disappointing...muffins, bread, and a juice machine, but there's a cheap diner next door :). Overall the place is comprable or slightly better than expected for the price. I will be returning again shortly. I chose it because the price was right and I was able enjoy a safe bicycle ride to Harrisburg all week for my work commitments; there's nice protected bridge path crossings and beautiful bike paths along the east bank of the river. "Good for the money"
I wasn't expecting a concert to be going on at the bar that was connected. It was loud but you could not hear it in my room. I went to the bar anyways and enjoyed the band. Room was very cold and the bathtub didn't have a stopper. I really needed to take a hot bath. "Nice but flawed"
Arrived at the hotel about 8:30 or so on a Friday night. Greeted by a friendly 20something who checked us in. Standard stuff. Left for a bite to eat and a drink and when I returned there was NO parking left due to the bar attached sharing parking lots which I was not told about. It took a bit of effort to find a spot. Would have been nice to been told […] what to expect there. Great location otherwise. Grotto's pub up the street had AMAZING wings and great and friendly staff. Room itself wasn't spotless or ultra modern (I had to fix my Cable TV service, good thing I'm technologically inclined!) but at this price its what I expected.
