Friendly, helpful staff and hotel accomodating about early check-in. Rooms are smaller than expected but lobby, halls are beautifully decorated. Area is not best in what is now a dangerous city for tourists but thsi appears to be true for many area s of the city.

Good comfortable bed, fabulous shower, very kind staff. We had air conditioning problems. The breakfast was acceptable but not very interesting--lots of breads. Once we knew our way around, location was ok, but not a lot of high end restaurants I. The area, at least not that we found.

This hotel is nice and very reasonably priced for a 4-star hotel. It is clean, and the hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet offered each morning is delicious. The hotel is a bit removed from the major sights and restaurants, though taxis throughout the city are cheap and plentiful, so this is not a major downside.

The Savory was recently refurbished and offers comfort and style at a very reasonable price. The staff is super friendly and helpful without being excessively solicitous. The buffet breakfast has an excellent selection of cheeses, cold-cuts, fresh fruit, breads, and pastries--sized to nudge us away from over-eating. Wifi connection was weak (the reason […] for my 4 rating overall). Several times I used their public computers to avoid wasting time. I like the Savoy's surroundings because the hotel is in the center of the Av. Corrientes theater district and within a short walk there are several outstanding, reasonably priced parillas with mainly Argentine clientele. You can walk the streets, day or night, without being harranged by money changers, touts, or sex-workers. Only a block from the Savor are the best meat pies in BA--La Americana, where an empanada and an ample glass of red can be had in 30 seconds for a mere $3--a bit more if your prefer to be served at a table. This is my first time at the Savoy, but it is now my favorite hotel in BA. I enjoyed the hotel and area so much that I tried to extend my stay, but there was no availability. . Read more

The hotel is nice. Rooms are small, but just the right size for a lone traveler or couple. The beds are firm but comfortable. The bathrooms were nice - rain head shower. The tub had that stupid only half a wall thing so the bathroom floor was covered in water after each shower, but the bathroom was very nice and the water pressure and temperature were […] great. The minifridge in the closet didn't keep anything cold, but the selection was fair. The closet was a nice design with space to hang up clothes and your suitcase on one side a desk on the other as a go-between for the bedroom and bathroom. I loved that the hotel had a business center. I always take my ipad, but I needed to print tickets and the business center came in handy for that. The continental breakfast was excellent - eggs, bacon, toast, biscuits, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, tomatoes, juice, coffee, tea, etc. The staff were very helpful. The front desk let me check out late and gave me advice on day trips and directions to places. The cleaning crew didn't accept the tips I left. They did a nice job. We had a great stay. If I cold change an thing I would offer an extende check out to those that are laeving for America on the 8 PM flight. Your staff did permit us to stay in the room until 2 which we really appreciated. It would have been nice if we could have stayed to 4 pM.Which would have not required us to spend so much time at the airport.

Overall, I had a very nice experience staying at the Savoy, but with a few changes the hotel can make it an excellent experience. The Good. The building is absolutely beautiful, built in the grand style of the rich, prosperous Buenos Aires of the early 20th century. It has recently been renovated, preserving its exquisite details while making it fresh […] and clean. The rooms are contemporary style which I like, as long as it is not overdone (see below). The staff at the reception desk, bar, bell boy are all very friendly and all speak fluent English. The location is good -- close to the Congreso, Avenida 9 de Julio, etc.; the street is safe, although it is not the most beautiful avenue. The windows are double glazed and are pretty good at blocking out street noise. The not-so-good. Like some other contemporary-style hotels, it appears they chose style over function. There isn't enough light in the bathroom. No full length or make-up mirrors; no coffee/tea maker. The closet has no doors -- and no drawers. As a matter of fact, there are no drawers anywhere in the room. There's no radio/alarm clock/iPod dock. The pillows are not good quality and when I asked for down pillows I was told they didn't have any. The nice breakfast buffet does not include decaf coffee (you can get it for an extra charge). Not all rooms have tubs, which did not bother me but it may bother some. I would recommend this hotel but potential guests should know what they can expect. Read more

Hotel is one of the oldest in Buneos Aries. The renovated all the rooms to very mordern rooms but kept in tack all the old charm or the era of Eva Peron. The food thou small portions is top quality for a hotel. The breakfast buffet is very adequate. The bar at the hotel is very expensive compared to what I have paid for at other hotels. US$20 for an […] Absolute Vodka and US$7 for a red wine (wine is cheap in Argentina) was very expensive. We enjoyed our stay in Rio, the hotel was close to the beach, but the decor and general appearance were somewhat old and dated.The rooftop pool with great views made up for some of the shortcomings. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was lovely. Initially we were given a room on the street, which I found much too noisy, so we swapped to a room in the back. It had absolutely no view and was very dark, but it was clean and spacious and at least I was able to sleep! The breakfasts were nothing to write home about but overall the hotel was pretty good value we thought.

This hotel is unique and elegant . The beauty has been nicely maintained in the public areas, but the rooms are small and "modern" and have little charm, although they are very clean. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully lit. Although there is a large bathtub you likely can't enjoy a bath as the faucet only dribbles when you try to fill the tub. […] The water isn't hot enough to use the shower to fill and would probably take a very long time in any case. The breakfast was above average and included scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the usual continental items. The tomato bruschetta was a nice treat and, of course, the champagne was a nice surprise. The staff were knowledgable, usually bilingual and very courteous. I spent one day on a walking trip and went to Florida street to shop. Certainly, an interesting city with plenty of bargains to be found. Check out the street vendors for interesting handmade crafts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will certainly book here again. Very nice hotel. Disappointing that the restaurant was not open in the evenings; only bar snacks available. Good breakfast. Internet did not work at all throughout my 2 night stay. Fue muy corta nuestra estadia, pero solicite una habitacion doble y me asignaron una habitacion para 1 pax y medio aunque con todo lo publicado , la atencion del personal muy buena con buen nivel , Nos solucionaron los problemas con mucha amabilidad, se nota la inversion en reacondicionar las instalaciones, Pero lleven GPS actualizado para encontrar […] la habitacion y peor aun para encontrar los ascensores cuando salgan de sus habitaciones, o las salidas de emergencia, la CARTELERIA ES PESIMA, hay que buscarla con linterna porque juega a las escondidas, cumplen lo muy MINIMO pero........
