"Can Do Better!"
First of all, the room I was given hadn't been cleaned and the bed unmade. Trash was all over the place. I had to get another room. The next room was acceptable looking but needed more towels. I also noticed there was no clock radio in the room. It took hours for the staff to provide me a simple clock radio. If you are a sports fan, the hotel didn't […] have ESPN available on their cable package. Also, once flushing the toilet, water would run for over 30 minutes. The area isn't the greatest and wouldn't feel safe walking the streets after sundown. The rate maybe less money but in this case you get what you pay for. A couple long term "tenants" were a bit odd but friendly. Had two great nights sleep, just ran the fan to create white noise so I couldn't hear the outside noises. "Looks good but has deep flaws"
The price and location were right. The one problem with the low price is that it attracts people that you may not want to have around you. I asked for a non-smoking room. I got one. The problem is that the smoke from the rooms around me invaded my space like you would not believe. One night the night owls above me kept me awake off and on until 5AM. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional, and our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The furniture and overall room quality has become very run-down, however, and I suppose with the economy being what it is, maintenance has become an issue. We took room with king size bed. Its a big room then other hotels, ample space to move inside the hotel. Fairly clean, it has microwave and refridgrator.
