"Not as impressive as before..."
This is normally my 'go to' hotel in the region when I have to stay in the San Diego/El Cajon area. Normally I am happy with the accomidations, this time not so much. The TV only received about 3 clear channels, all the others had so much static it was hard to watch them. The WiFi was not working (either very, VERY slow or not working at all). Also, […] there were unruly guests in the halls and during breakfast (including one guest who, in the process of making 6 plates of food and placing them in his backpack) decided to let every guest know that his laptop was stolen and he didn't know how he was going to pay his rent and then yelled at my 9 year old son for looking at him. Our experience was pretty good overall. The room was clean and they provided all the needed necessities. This hotel was conveniently located for my purposes in San Diego and reasonably priced. The rooms have not been updated for technology, i.e., all electrical outlets hidden behind furniture--no easy place to plug in phone chargers/laptop. The free wi-fi was slow, but it was free! I am sorry to report to you that we did not enjoy our stay. The A/C unit was too loud to sleep through. There were no screens on the windows to open the windows and air out our room . The shower water went ice cold one minute, then scalding the next. Luckily, my husband showered 1st to discover this so I would not encounter (or burn) this while showering […] my young children. Upon returning after an evening out, approximately, 9pm, we entered the lobby to find about 6 African American teen age kids lounging around the lobby and being loud and obnoxious. I was surprised the desk staff did not redirect them somewhere else from where guests were coming and going. This is a place of business, not a hang out. Needless to say, I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this hotel. We requested a room facing away from the freeway only to learn upon checking in that the hotel only has 1 room available. "Not so Quality"
We checked in at 9pm with 2 lil kids and they gave us the key to the wrong room. The other guests weren't too happy with us trying to get into their room. Then the whole night, we couldn't sleep due to allergies coming from the bathroom which looks like they were in the middle of doing something cause the ceiling was cut but then did a really bad job […] patching it up and must've been mold or something. My wife and i arrived at our destination in El Cajon California and checked in and put our belongings in our room than went to visit family members. When we returned and tried to get into our room the lock flashed green but the door wouldn't open. We tried several times but after the first try the lock kept flashing red.
