Large king bed,couch, table, chairs, desk fridge, microwave. at a great price. Room, pool & jacuzzi were very clean. Outside there were many puddles... from air conditioners leaking. A convenience store & good Mexican fast food right in front. & a liquor store across the street. Not the type of neighborhood you'd want to walk around in though.~ About a 20 minute drive to San Diego Zoo & San Diego downtown area. Located only one block away from the I-8 freeway. This Hotel is horrible. They don't mention that they are right next to one of San Diego's busiest freeways. The bathroom toilet was not working properly and barely useable. It ended up not working and overflowing and the management there told me to come down and grab a plunger myself and do it myself. Well that's exactly what I just paid for this hotel […] room for!!! The room was so clean, spacious & the beds were perfect. The free breakfast didn't include fresh fruit choices. The location took us anywhere we wanted to go. The taco shop adjacent to the hotel was clean with good food. I will come back!!

The hotel room wasn't very clean. This became more evident when we discovered roaches ALL over the room (adult and babies); including the ceiling. The bathtub floor also felt like it was giving way. We were glad to be on the lower level of the hotel. I would NEVER stay in a Howard Johnson hotel again. This has soured my taste for them.
