This was our first stay at this hotel. It was not too pricey and we found it to be very clean. The staff was very friendly; in fact, we received a phone call early-on to see if everything was OK in our room or if we needed anything. There was an indoor pool and hot tub, but we forgot to bring our suits:( We will definately stay there again.

The smelled of mildew was so bad that we had to spray the bathroom and keep the door shut. Mom wanted to move to anonther room but we told her it was only a couple of days. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and torn in places. The shower and bath tub were dirty in the room. The doors to storage areas in the halls were left open and were overly cluttered and dirty.

We were happy to stay there. I was looking for a hotel that allowed pets and found this one near the airport. they were nice and allowed a little bit larger dog compared to other hotels that had a size limit. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfy. I gave the low grade for condition and maintenance because it was under remodel and i was on the […] lower level and there wasn't much signage to where the lobby and things were, so that was a little confusing. Super value for the money. Some aspects of the hotel are dated and worn. However, they are currently remodeling several areas. The hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was O.K., but, again, great for the money. I would stay there again.

We booked a Comfort Inn for a different night first but when we made a new reservation we accidently were directed to another Comfort Inn in Des Moines. We checked out the first and that one had better amenaties. So we were kind a dissapointed when we found out that we made our final reservation at a different hotel. But it was a reasonable hotel. Great customer service. Free airport shuttle 24/7, but it does stop at other hotels and parking lots, so allow a little more time than you might think you need. Right across the street from the airport, so very convenient that way. My room was a little musty smelling, but aired out quickly when I turned the fan on. The hotel was nice. Our favorite part was the temperature of the pool. It felt like bath water and was still quite clean. The breakfast was pretty good but could have had a little more variety (e.g., fruit other than apples).

The lack of an elevator is very limiting for those of us who are older. I couldn't get the juice dispenser to work at breakfast, but I appreciate that breakfast is available at such an early hour, enabling me to eat before leaving for a "red eye" flight from the airport

We were in need of a convenient to the airport, reasonably priced hotel in which to get a nights' sleep after flying in to Des Moines late at night. Great stay - had a 6 am flight home and chose this hotel randomly. Great staff, comfi beds, quiet rooms with good cable. Easy access to rental car return and airport. Would definitely stay again!
