Easy access to the interstate, room itself was very dated,dirty and damaged.Outdoor entry so the noise level of other guest walking by your window and door was present. We chose this hotel because it had an outdoor pool. Only problem the water was green and couldn't be used. The temperature outside was 105-110 degrees, and no one at the hotel could use the pool. Room had old musky smell. air conditioner did not work in room. 2nd room air conditioner did not work as well. The refrigerator in the room had moldy smell. The towels and wash cloths were rough enough to tear skin off. The beds were like sleeping on the floor and pillows were small and not comfortable. The Best Western Fairwinds Inn was clean for our short overniight stay. Very loud! We could hear the next room's TV past midnight, people walking by, and conversations through the walls. Breakfast was average. Took 5 minutes for the clerk to appear. Manners none. Put me in a smoking room while had requested non-smoking. The bed cover was torn and stained. Breakfast consists of corn biscuit and gravy. "Disappointment for the kids"
I picked this hotel specifically because they had an indoor pool. My kids were excited about that. Unfortunately, they never got to swim. Although the pool is very large, they had a rule that only five people could swim at a time. We waited for our turn, but the hotel staff came and shut down the pool entirely, because other people kept getting in even […] though they were over the limit. In addition, I found the staff to be very cold and distant in their interactions. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. Also, I found the 3:00 check-in very inconvenient. Paid a reduced same day price and got what I paid for. The fridge did not work. There was unpainted spackle on the bathroom wall. The hot water did not work in the morning.
