"Kind of quirky, but nice"
In room A/C very loud. Staff very friendly. And the weekend pool party is a spectacle not to be missed...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I stay here because it close to where I need to be for work. The restaurant downstairs is the best thing about the hotel. While a bit pricey, the food is very good, and a drink by the first poolside is divine. The hotel overall is okay....when it first opened it was great! Over the years, it seems you can feel and see the wear and tear on the rooms, […] hallways, elevators, etc. the staff is good, but also they have a bit of their focus on service that used to be palpable. Hotel Indigo is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good looking but not functional & very expensive"
The room and hotel really looked nice. The shower was spectacular. BUT the room was way too small and non functional. 2 beds for 3 people barely left any room to walk around. Plus there was room for 1 suitcase and no place to put things, i.e. in the bathroom the square sink looked great, but left a 3" by 2.5' shelf for all toiletries, including tissue […] box (not refilled by maids) and glasses. The restaurant was great, but one of the most expensive meals I have had ($44 for main course without sides or apps). The business center was good (old software) but the workout room was a joke-2 machines. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"If the walls were sound proof......"
.....I would've gotten some sleep but first we heard everyone walking up and down the hall and then the couple next door were moaning from about 12 am and on.... way too long and loud and you could hear everything....I think at 4am is when the "show" was over and I finally could get some sleep. I don't remember the last time that happened...so I guess […] the walls were constructed pretty poorly. Oh yeah the staff at the desk would hardly crack a smile....not very friendly at all. Hotel style was very sheek though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Is Boston the "trainee location"?"
I chose Indigo because in Houston, (initially due to geographical considerations but thereafter due to good service) my firm has used them for off-site conferences, team building and the like. Overseas visitors often stay as well due to its proximity---each with positive results. In the Newton instance, simple, basic "Oh yeah, I work for a hotel" type […] things were repeatedly mishandled or forgotten and consistently required calls and long waits from housekeeping....(1) napkins and silverware from room service; (2) in the room Kurig Coffee K-Cups & (3) actual coffee mugs (4) towel shortages. More shocking was notifying the desk of this ongoing issue and receiving the response of "call housekeeping". On our 2nd day there, in the lounge, we were served, albeit impeccably seasoned, a large crispy spider alongside the sweet potato fries. There are a couple more juicy examples that, well, just are not worth any more time. Bottom line, Indigo Newton receiving an overall rating of 3 is me being subjectively magnanimous and mathematically honest... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent for the price"
The only issue is the extra charge for parking when there is no other alternative and nowhere near enough parking anyway especially on Saturday night as the restaurant and bar seem to be the local party/pick-up spotGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for thrifty tourists"
Hotel Indigo seemed like a great place to stay for thrifty tourists. It was a bit pricy the week I was there, but there was a large conference in Boston that drove up the prices of all hotels. The pool was packed with a young crowd (I was traveling on business) and the bar was lively. The staff was very friendly. My room overlooked the pool so it was […] a bit noisy until the pool closed, but for tourists it looks like a fun location. It's approximately a 5 minute walk to the Riverside subway station and the ride into downtown takes around 50 minutes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"College Visits"
We were visiting schools in the Boston area. Main school was two minutes away by car. The proximity to train station gave great access to the city by train. Driving to hotel seemed complicated, but would chalk that up to driver errors. Golf course across the street. Overall, very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Indigo-comfortable upscale"
Hotel Indigo is a very comfortable upscale hotel, clean and well managed. Convenient location to major highways. Only minor problem was a noisy radiator, which, when brought to their attention, was solved by relocation to a new room, which improved the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Indigo in Newton, MA - Very nice hotel"
The decoration at the Hotel Indigo in Newton, MA is very nice. Very modern decor with a clean, fresh look. The rooms are a little small, but clean and comfortable. The only thing I wish was that the doors to the rooms were thicker. You could hear people talking in the hallway and every door closing. There is a nice restaurant with a bar downstairs. […] I went in the winter so I didn't get to use the pool, but my room overlooked the pool and it looked like a really nice setup. It was South Beach Miamiesque. The receptionist was really nice and professional. She recommended a really good restaurant for dinner one night too. If you park behind in the garage parking, there is only the elevator to get up to the various hotel floors. There are no stairs and the elevators are really slow. "Good stay"
This was a very good hotel for my business in and around Boston. Two complaints, my phone didn't work and the bathroom shower had mold all around the chaulking. The tiles appeared to be stained too but it just looked dirty. I told the gal at check out and she agreed that this was unacceptable and comped me my dinner. With a little more attention to […] detail in the rooms it could be an above average place. Service is already really good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"functional and modern"
Boutique hôtel. Modern and good use of space. Friendly enough in service but is not a 4 star. For my purposes, it served well. Good food at the restaurant which was same but abbreviated menu for room service. Beds are good. Towels new and clean. Not walking distance to anything but the T. Good distance in between suburbs of Boston and the city if one […] needs to travel both ways. One noisy night but did not appear to be the norm (next door to Bachelor at Bachelor party?). "Dependable hotel for business, friendly staff, clean"
I've stayed at the Indigo many times for business, and it's still my favorite. The rooms are on the small side, but not tiny. The staff is friendly and helpful (more so than I would expect in Boston) and the rooms are clean. I'm a fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
I always stay here when I have business in the Boston/Newton area. The restaurant Boxk is a stunner. I order room service, kick up my feet, watch some TV and then Zen out. The decor is European modern chic and the amenities and bathroom are very welcomed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One hiccup, but overall a great experience"
The first night, the AC kept making an obnoxious noise which ruined my sleep. I told the front desk about it in the morning and that was the last I heard of it. Amazing service, great rooms and amazing room service (burger with duck fries are a must).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate but not spectacular"
I booked this hotel blindly as an Expedia special, and it did meet my needs. One night, business trip, needed to be close to I-95. In-room wi-fi was a must and it worked without any connectivity problems, so that was good. The $7 parking fee was insulting, not sure why they do that. Tried to get some coffee in the am to take on the road. There is a […] full service restaurant but other than that just a kiosk. The lone staffer there could not handle the crowd, it was VERY slow and I had to leave for my meeting with no coffee :(. The in-room coffee machine has mugs, not disposable cups-- a choice would be nice so we could make coffee in the room and take it with us. Room was small but bed was comfortable and view of the train station was kind of intersting. There were corners of the room that were inadequately vacuumed, especially around the bed, but I tried not to look. The bed cover was some sort of duvet with sheets on top and bottom. The sheets didn't stay on well to keep it covered and the duvet itself had a small blood stain, yuck. I have to say, though, that I am picky and no hotel these days really seems to have superb housekeeping and these issues come up everywhere. Staff was friendly overall. "Indigo. More like Indi-don't go"
Cramped and Dark. Tiny rooms. Overpriced for what you get. They charge for parking despite being out in the boonies. 1000 yards from Riverside stop (Green Line) yet didn't know how long it would take to get into the city via the subway. there are tons of options outside Boston, don't bother with this one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, elegant and modern look and feel. Excellent choice for the Newton area."
I have been staying in the hotel on business purpose. The hotel had a very good location for my business, and in general, only 15 minutes away from Boston. Rooms are geared with everything you need - LCD screen with VOD and regular TV, wired and wireless Internet, safe, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron. King size bed is huge and very, very convenient. Although […] I got a room near the elevator (when I specifically requested a room far from the elevator), I didn't hear it and it didn't bother me. Parking is conveniently located on underground floors. My only complaint is that they charge you $7 per night for parking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Indigo Boston"
Nice hotel with horrible bathroom lighting. The lighting wasn't even adequate for me to shave, I had to pull the floor lamp over to the full-length mirror to get enough light to shave. Tiny recessed can lights located on the ceiling behind your head in the bathroom. I would stay here again, but only after inquiring whether the bathroom lighting has […] dramatically improved. I did inquire about alternative lighting, but the staff had no solutions to offer. The hotel is very convenient to the green-line train into Boston. Allow about 1/2 hour to downtown. The restaurant at the hotel is good, but way over priced. Stick with the appetizers, they're huge and realistically priced. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Hotel But Construction Ruined Visit"
This is actually a good hotel. It has a beautiful pool, and the room sizes are reasonable for the "boutique" classification. However, my stay was unpleasant due to their construction and decision to put me in a room impacted by this. I stayed in a room that had two external walls. They performed construction on the brick of these walls. I was awoken […] by loud hammering and a saw. This was followed up by the harsh fumes of sealant. The workers were wearing masks while applying. That's not very reassuring. When I contacted the front desk, they apologized and offered free breakfast. Sorry, but that doesn't cut it. "Indigo in Newton, convenient to the hospital"
I stayed at the Indigo while attending a seminar at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Both were very conveniently reached from I-90. The hotel was cozy and friendly, with a very nice restaurant/bar, and clean, modern fitness room. Though there were no bath towels in my room, they were delivered promptly, by a smiling maintenance man, because housekeeping could […] not be summoned by the front desk! Another small matter was my mild resentment at being charged an additional fee to park in a creepy parking lot, but, it is Boston after all! Overall, surprisingly pleasant experience. "Decent "boutique" option outside Boston"
Overall good hotel that's accessible to Boston via train or highway. This is not a neighborhood to see a lot, or do a lot (unless you know the area well like I did), but it is very easy access to transport. My only complaint was that the window in my room was broken and perpetually open, and it was 40 degrees during my stay. Not to mention the sounds […] coming in. Otherwise, good price and value for a semi-upscale place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could Be Better"
Prior research had me prepared for smaller rooms. However, while the room was nicely furnished, there were the nagging little problems. First, there was no lighting over or around the desk area. In fact the only lighting in the room were two table lamps on either side of the bed. Also there was mildew on the floor next to the shower stall. Lastly was […] the use of a Keurig for in room coffee. While it may suggest an upgrade to standard amenities, the always present Mr. Coffee Jr. is much more convenient. This was all over ridden by the hotel's extremely close proximity to I-95 and to the Green Line for access to Boston. I will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
