"Good value motel"
Very reasonable rate for the area in the height of summer season. Bed was Ok in comfort...our TV was fuzzy on the Olympics channel....but convenient to a lot of attractions in the area. Owners were very nice and provided service when asked for, but a lot had to be asked for....ie - bathmat - enough towels. "Miners Motel - Jamestown, CA"
The motel was really old. It definately needed some painting inside and out. The front door did now close very well and the bathroom needed repairs. The beds felt like they were 20 + years old. It was really old and rustic inside and very dark. No room for 2 people to get ready in and no enough plugs. We had to unplug things to use our hair dryers. There are not a lot of places in gold country that are super nice, super clean or super new. This motel was very old and smelled old. However, it had a refrigerator and microwave. "For our purposes"
We stayed at this hotel for two nights as we were going to Yosemite and needed a decently priced location... It is still a drive from here to Yosemite Valley, but for the one day we went, it was a good location. There are many other towns around that have hotels, too, but this was the best priced when we were looking. The room is so-so, very old TV, […] not that we get rooms for the TV, but it does play a factor. The bathroom was good, but the shower curtain liked to stick to you as you take a shower, very distracting! The bed was fine and the cleanliness was fine. Overall, it did the job. Sonora, just north of Jamestown is a very confusing town, streets going all directions, that when we were trying to get back to the hotel after dinner we had to U turn numerous times to get where we needed to be! Having spent a long day in Yosemite, this hotel was fully what was expected for the price paid. In the very small town of Jamestown, this motel is on the outskirts of the centre. "Helaas was er geen hotel dichter bij Yosemite NP"
Omdat er geen hotel dichter bij Yosemite NP was hebben we dit hotel geboekt. Je kunt er slapen, dat is het belangrijkste. Maar de voorzieningen in de kamers zijn zwaar achterhaald: Als wij de magnetron wilden gebruiken moest de lamp en de TV uit, anders trok de stop het niet. De TV functioneerde, maar kwam uit de tijd dat de Kleuren tv net was geïntroduceerd. […] Het houtwerk buiten had al heel lang geen verf meer geroken. En om alle lampenkapjes zat plastic.
