"Terrible customer service"
The hotel itself was clean and in good shape. The breakfast was not very appetizing. Biggest problem was the management not allowing late checkouts on Sunday. We were there for a soccer tournament and it was cold and rainy. We had a game at 11:15 AM. It was raining and cold and we wanted a late checkout to come back and warm up and maybe dry uniforms […] for the Championship game at 2:30 we were already in. "Great location for University of Richmond"
We've stayed in this hotel three times as it is very convenient to the University of Richmond. We've had a great experience all three times. This last weekend the hotel was sold out so it was a little busy on breakfast on Sunday. They did their best at trying to keep up with the refills but it was a little difficult. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had issues with connecting to the internet and I received pleasant help with that. The clerk offered to come to our room to help, but since we had 3 foster children who were going to sleep I took the laptop to the clerk at the desk and received the help I needed. We have stayed at the Hampton Inn Richmond Glenside 4 times now. Each time, it has been a wonderful experience. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable. The room is very clean and the bedding and pillows always smell fresh. The front desk staff (especially Antione) are very helpful and friendly. I can only comment on the customer service at this hotel because my flight was canceled and I was unable to make the reservation. I had 2 packages shipped to the hotel prior to my scheduled arrival. I spoke to 3 employees, 1 at the front desk and 2 from the office. Everyone was fantastic! They were very helpful and willing to hold until my items until […] I was able to arrange a pickup. I have stayed at about 15 Hampton Inns in the US and I am always pleased with the hotel and staff.
