"Please Clean"
The front entrance is very nice, it makes you think you are about to have a really nice stay. The room was dirty and unkept. We were put at the very end of the hall. It was loud and dark. i recently stayed 1 night while taking my dog to the surgeon in richomond. i was overall satisfied it was a great price, everyone was friendly, (staff and guests stopping to ask me about my dogs and petting them!!) my room was clean and the bathroom yet small was very nicely upgraded! BUT my dislikes was the rude SLAMING of the ajacent rooms dresser […] drawers by housekeeping VERY EARLY! For that matter the WALLS in general were THIN!! keeping my dogs on edge because they could hear everyone out in the hall even with my TV on! the "Potty" area was not nicely lit or for that matter in a safe location. I had to go thru the parking structure to the back street, where the thin strip of grass was for them to use the bathroom. as a women and at dark i was constantly looking for anything and rushed them back in right away!! we only went out once after dark because of that!! As I do a lot of business speaking events, this was in great proximity to where I was speaking as well as local restaurants and the Richmond airport. But the air quality in the hotel was abysmal, and while this may seem like a small complaint I couldn't stay in the room for more than two hours without having a very dry throat... which affects my ability […] as a public speaker. "Paper thin walls"
I stayed at this hotel because I had a business meeting in Richmond. The price was good, the shower was hot, and the free breakfast was great. This hotel is in a very bad neighborhood. I did not feel safe the entire time I was there. I did not sleep very well because the walls in the hotel are paper thin. I had to listen to loud music til 9pm. After […] the music stopped, my neighbors became very affectionate. I heard everything. I did not fall asleep until almost 3am and had to get up at 5am. The next morning, when I was checking out, a fight broke out at the front desk and the police were called. I do not recommend staying here if you have little kids. Aside from the safety factor, I was on the fifth floor and my room window did not have a screen. I personally will never stay at this hotel again. I was hoping i would have an opportunity to write a review on this hotel. I have to say i was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in everything about my stay at this particular Comfort Inn. I had to go to Richmond to the Central Office for the DBHDS for 2 days. I had to stay overnight, and I chose Comfort Inn based on my previous experience with this hotel chain. I was there May 13th, for an overnight visit. i only stayed one night and I am glad it was for only overnight. 1- security was almost not present at hotel... i saw only 1 staff member and he was at the front desk. well, when i first got htere he was actually out front smoking. he did go in and check me in and he was pleasant. 2-the parking area was filthy and not very well lite and small parking spaces.. it was awful. 3- there was only one cart for transporting suitcases/bags and it was filthy. 4-the hotel room was dirty, smelled of smoke even tho i requested non smoking. 5-i asked for more towels thursday morning, i was getting readly to take a shoer and i was told that "this is not a full service hotel, we cannot bring you any towels.". they were very rude. 6-breakfast was cereal, oj, apple juice, no fruite, no yogurt, and barely acceptable. 7-my reservati9on was non refundable and i had to prepay, so even if i would have left i would have lost my money. so i had no choice but to stay and i paid this visit out of my own pocket. i will never return to this Comfort Inn and i will make sure anyone else who needs to go to Richmond that they will not stay there. this particular Comfort Inn gives your chain a really bad representation and I am so disappointed in this stay. After arriving late and exhausted, all I wanted was a cup of decaf coffee to warm me up and not keep me awake all night. I stayed at the hotel as it was a mile away from a class I had to take early the next morning. There was no coffee maker in the room. After waiting 45 minutes for maitenance to bring a coffee pot, I found that instead of 1 pack of […] regular and 1 pack of decaf, there were 2 packs of regular coffee in my room. I decided to get a diet coke instead. I inserted the $1.25, hit the DIET button, and a bottle of REGULAR coke emerged from the slot. To make matters worse, there were a group of partiers in the room next to me who kept going in and out, slamming the door each time and being very loud. Not a very peaceful experience. I was only there for a quick one night sleep on my own. The hotel served my purpose, as far as fairly comfortable beds and pillows, a coffee maker, and an iron, that's pretty much all I needed.
