The owners of La Cave restaurant offer oatmeal on their buffet daily (it's in the pot at the far right of the buffet and might not have been seen). It's delicious and they use a steel cut oatmeal so it has a great consisentency! I know that they offer flavored yogurts, but I'll ask if they can feature plain as well. This was our second stay and there were no surprises, we like it that way. The hotel is comfortable with on-site dining and exercise facility and pool available. "Great location to many needs"
Great spot for food and some shopping. Just down the street is a place called the "frech press" great place for breakfast. Shopping is just one freeway exit away called the Colorado "mills". The only real gripe I could really bring up is that soda machine on my floor wasnt working so I had to go to another floor to buy myself a soda. Also no fridge […] but you can chill beverages with ice... The staff is very friendly and helpful as is most any place you can go in Colorado. The rooms are cozy, i'd suggest the mountain view over the city view unless you have very clear skies during your stay, due to the fires we couldnt see the city from the elevator windows, but our mountain view was great to watch the thunderstorms roll in. The first 2 mornings we were there and took showers the water was barely warm. The last morning we took showers, it was realy hot. The view from the room was excellent I recommend the Mountain View Rooms. The window frame in the room had duct tape all the way around it, I guess to keep the wind out not really sure. The Sheraton Denver West is an older hotel and seemed to lack service for today's travelers. No breakfast provided! The carpet under the desk was destroyed. Paint was peeling in the bathroom. No refrigerator or microwave but it did have a coffee maker for an individual cup of coffee. Bottled water was available for $2 a bottle. I chose this hotel becaus eit was close to Ortho Hospital where my husband had surgery. The staff was friendly and more than helpful by allowing an early check in and late check out to accomodate my husband hospital release. The first night we stayed in the hotel, we went down to the indoor pool. It was 8:30 pm (pool closes at 10:30pm) and nobody had turned on the lights to the pool. There was a window open next to the pool (after a rain storm) and it was rather cold. I asked the woman at the front desk if she could turn on the lights and shut the window.
