"Under construction!"
Initially, we couldn't get into the hotel because the front door and lobby were being completely renovated. The guest entrances were locked making it difficult to enter the building. We had my elderly mother with us and the girl that finally let us in was extremely rude. After bringing this situation to the attention of the manager they were very accommodating. […] They gave us a wheel chair for our mother and that helped significantly. Our room was not stocked with hangers, glasses trash bag liners...They brought them when we requested.The rest of the staff was very helpful. They did not have their hotel handicap accessible. (i.e. when we wheeled our mother off the elevator to go to breakfast they had blocked off the ramp to the breakfast/ exit area so the construction workers assisted my mother down the 4 steps and carried her wheelchair for her. ) I am not sure what we would have done without the construction workers help all weekend! The stay was ok; hotel was pricey for what you get. Our bathroom smelled really bad, like pet urine. I also found dog food on the floor, not sure if it was vacuumed. The floor also had a couple of spots that were wet; don’t know if that was dog piddle or what... We basically used the hotel to sleep; we did not use any amenities. "Great price not so great room"
Stayed here because we got a great deal. Upon checking in everything seemed great. Because we had an outing we basically dropped our bags off and left. When we got back in, the pool which should have been open was closed, and the restaurant was having technical difficulties. We decided to just hang out in our room when we found a list of things wrong. […] The toilet leaked, as did the shower, the sink was hard to turn on and made an awful noise when turning the knobs, the button on the ottoman was ripped out leaving metal exposed, the desk had something crusted on it, our room door didnt shut without being pushed and the deadbolt did not work. We could have told someone but by the time everything was discovere it was late and we did not want to switch rooms. Can't help wonder if we got a dirty messed up room because we got a great deal. "Need to improve on the customers experience!"
The desk staff were not friendly. I made reservations through expedia. My boyfriend was going to be checking in before me. When I called the day before check-in to put his name down he said I needed to bring my card in so he could swipe it for incidentals and that was fine. So when I got there he swiped the card and then went and made a photocopy of […] my card. I thought making a photocopy of my card was unnecessary. The day of check-in the lady at the front desk tells my boyfriend they need a copy of his credit card for incidentals. Why would you need a copy if his credit card when I drove out of my way to the hotel and someone swiped my card and photocopied it. I thought that was a little excessive not to mention the desk staff were not friendly at all. I didn't experience the WOW! factor at all. I probably won't stay at another Hilton property again. Had to ask specifically about check-out time and breakfast. Breakfast was not included, and $13.95 per person seems a bit steep.... Hotel was quality, but none of the staff seemed overly friendly. This hotel had a wresting team there the weekend we were there....it was VERY loud! I took my girlfriend here for a romantic getaway and we were very pleased with the quality. The room was beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable and the service was great. My wife and I stayed at the Hilton in Auburn Hills for the first time at the end of January. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I wanted to do a small surprise for her. I asked the front desk girl Ashley if she could put a few things together for me and have it in our room once we arrived back later. Stayed at the Auburn Hills Hilton for one night as my wife and I were in town for a concert. Check-in was breeze and the room was huge with two flat screen tv's. Went to the hotel bar for dinner and the food was excellent. The burger was better than 95% of burgers you get anywhere else and my wife was also happy with what she had. A little disappointed […] that they didn't have any local draft beer but I lived. Bartender was very attentive and hooked us up with a shuttle ride to a place near the concert to save a taxi fare. Shuttle driver was prompt and very friendly. Given the lateness of the concert we didn't check out the pool or work out room. Overall, very nice hotel with very professional staff. When we arrived we expected to have 2 cribs in our room for our twin babies, as I had requested earlier in the week. When they weren't in the room I called the front desk and was told that they usually have plenty of cribs but all 15 of their cribs were checked out by other guests!
