This hotel is extremely well located to walk to places and events in South Beach Miami just about a block west of Collins Ave at 18th. It is a short walk to the Big Bus tourist bus stop on Collins and numerous restaurants and the weekend open air market on Lincoln Rd. Mall. The room was clean as a pin and well equipped (bathroom goodies, kitchenette with microwave, frig, dishes, coffeemaker with coffee etc., flat screen TV, good air conditioning) and there is a lovely outdoor patio area with palm trees with ashtrays for the smokers (rooms are non-smoking). The hotel was in a great location. It was just a block from the Convention Center, a block from Lincoln & a block from Collins. Close to everything, without being on top of it all. I thought it was great. The location was perfect. The front desk staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Only thing to know is you have to arrange parking when you book your stay, as there's limited parking in the whole area. There's a lot close by so, if the hotel can't accommodate you, that lot usually can. Great stay!

If you stay in the "Renovated" Room, it is just like on the picture. Very Clean. Everybody in the Hotel is friendly and helpful. They treat you with respect. Excellent Service. Only thing is that you have to pay $25/night at check-in, in addition to your already paid reservation. We had the one bedroom apartment. It was bigger than expected - fit up to 5 - but when we asked for a cot they charged an additional $30! There was a queen bed in the bedroom and futon in the living area, large flat screen and kitchen was fully equipment. About 1-2 blocks from beach. Ola (amazing restaurant) almost next door. Close to everything. The […] fact that there is no pool is no biggie b/c you can use the pools at all the other fancy hotels. The only other complaint is that the bathtub was rusted. The hotel was only 2 blocks away from the beach and is located in a great location near shops, businesses, bars and the Lincoln Avenue Mall. The room was great, clean and quiet. The staff was wonderful and informative and provided us with a "cheat sheet" of restaurants, bars and clubs in the area along with a price guide. However, parking is limited […] to 6 spaces and it's first come, first serve. We had to park our car at a parking garage for $30.00 dollars a day, which is the going rate for hotels in the area that provide parking. When we first drove up there was a bunch of construction going on. There was limited parking and I thought, "oh no, this place is a dump". I was wrong. We were led through the office to a nice courtyard setting then up to our room. The room wasn't large but it was spotless. Great location. Very close to beach. Quiet place, couldn't hear guests in other rooms. I have stayed in other places around Miami Beach and this is definitely the quietest. Clean room. Very friendly hotel staff. No front desk but they still have a computer where we were able to print. Be advised the front office is only open from 8am to 8pm.

The location and staff are what made this hotel very pleasant to stay at. It is located less than 2 blocks from the beach, which means 5 minutes between getting ready and lying out on a towel on the shore! The staff is also friendly and accommodating. They responded right away when I went down to the front desk to ask for more towels and even asked […] if I wanted a few extra, just in case. They also were able to give me pointers about places to go, since this was my first trip to Miami. I stayed in a room with 2 twin beds, and it was perfect for us two single gals to keep our suitcases while we were out on the town. The bathroom was small but updated, and there was a small closet, stove, and sink included as well. It's not one of the luxury hotels a few miles away, but only in terms of size. And who needs spas and pools when the beach is right there? Also, I never paid more than $10 for a cab ride from all of the restaurants, bars, and clubs that I went to. I did an art fair at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and Hotel 18 was a block away. Saved a bunch of money by not having to take cabs. Very convenient to restaurants, shops and the beach. I will certainly stay there the next time I'm in Miami Beach!

What a wonderful surprise! Last year we stayed at the Congress hotel on Ocean for the 13.1 Miami Beach event. No sleep for all the noise, filthy room, expensive valet parking, etc, etc... Booking the Hotel 18 we expected maybe a little quieter being further away from the main drag, but did not expect the glorious quiet, the very clean and fresh smelling […] room, the courteous, professional staff and the comparatively inexpensive convenient self parking!! So close to Lincoln that we had enormous fun people watching and shopping! I almost wanted to hold back this review so as not to give away my gold strike! Hotel 18 is superbly located half a block from Collins St and the airport bus stop and 3 min walk from Washington St and Lincoln Rd so it's right in the heart of all the action in South Beach. Also it's a block and a half away from the beach. The hotel provides short and long term stays. Our room was in a corner and it was huge. It had a kitchen fully […] equipped with stove, microwave, dishes, pots, etc., a small dining table and a small fridge. There was plenty of storage space for clothes, the bed was comfortable. There is AC. The bathroom has a tub; toiletries and hair dryer are provided as well. The big windows have white panels beneath the curtains which is really helpful to keep a lot of light from entering the room in the mornings and helps keep the room cooler. Everything was very clean. Wi fi is included also. My only complaint and it's not really about the hotel but about the noise in the street which kept waking us up during the night. I guess that's what you get for the excellent location. It doesn't have a pool if that interests you, for us it wasn't important. In summary, great price, very clean and excellent location, what more could you ask? Read more

I selected this hotel based on the reviews on Expedia and I can say I was not disappointed! I have already recommended it to another friend . The hotel is very clean, the staff very polite and the rooms are cleaned at your convenience. Its also walking about 5 mins distance to the beach. Although breakfast is not served the rooms are self contained […] with microwaves, fridge and a cooker. Although I didnt cook, it was handy to have the microwave when I bought a take out and due to the weather having a large fridge-freezer (not a mini bar) came in handy to stock bottles of water. There's also a small court yard with comfortable and clean lounge chairs to chill out in especially when it gets too hot and you need some shade. The internet service was good and so was the air conditioning and ceiling fan. My only "dislike" was the AC made too much noise but I eventually got used to it. I'll definitely be back! Read more
