Valet service was horrible when checking out Valet took 45 min to bring car. The sheets in room had holes on them. Bathroom had hair from previous guests. At the Restaurant "Gastons" the food was not worth the price.. I would not return here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Miami Yacht Brokerage Show 2013"
Hotel was chosen for location and assumed quality. Amenities were great and staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the quality of the restaurant food. I stayed at this hotel because it was nearby to a conference I had to attend at the Fountainebleau, which was full; the room was lovely and spacious, but just shy of first class. There were chips in the porcelain of the bathtub, a spot on the white chair, the towels were white but dingy - a weird gray cast to them. The room was otherwise very clean […] and well appointed with a nice sitting area and guest bathroom. "Appalling service"
Hotel is lovely, room terrific, but, oh....the reservation and front staff!!! I had a room booked (and prepaid) for 4 nights starting on a Friday. Called and alerted them (and got person's name) that I would be coming in on Saturday a.m. early on a red eye, would pay for the Friday night because I needed to go to sleep as soon as I got there at 7am […] Sat. Flight got delayed and did not get in until 2pm Sat. Called again (from West Coast) to alert them, and was told my room had been given away and there was no other. Unfortunately I had to get quite demanding to get my room back. Was told there was no person by the name of ........ which I had been given and had asked to specifically note in the reservation that I would be coming in the next day. The front office manager and the staff I spoke to were unhelpful, unaccommodating and uninterested. such a pity for such a nice hotel. But I really don't think they care. Overall, the hotel was nice. I didn't care for the location simply because it wasn't within walking distance to any restaurants or shopping. It was right on the beach/ocean so if you are traveling for that you will be happy. The pools were great. The rooftop(adult only) pool was swanky. It was great to have a quiet area in the city! The other pools […] were surrounded by lush landscaping and had great lounge chairs. I would travel back to this hotel for the pools alone, and the great oceanfront location. If you are traveling on business (as I was) this hotel is far from any restaurants or shopping. Cabs are very accessible, but expect to spend a lot cabbing into town for each meal or to enjoy the day shopping. The valet guys were very helpful and nice, while the front desk workers were confused about everything that was asked to them. My room had a lovely view of the bay and a very comfortable bed. If you book a King Bay Suite with the pullout couch, it's nice because you have essentially two seperate bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The Grand Beach Hotel was extremely uncooperative with not only me but also the 3 people in froont of me. All of us had different problems and effectively the hotel management, including the supervisor on duty at the time told everyone, I mean everyone that there was nothing they could do for their patrons. So lets put it in perspective for you. I checked […] in and paid via AMEX and was there 15 minutes before I got a call and needed to leave Miami. Bear in mind that the hotel room was not ready, I had not occupied the room and I was sitting in the lobby waiting for the room to be ready. When I went to the desk and told them I needed to cancel my reservation and get a refund I was told " You have already paid for the room, there is nothing we can do" Sure there is. You can refund my money as I have not used your services yet. Nope. Not a chance. We have your money and we are NOT giving it back. Based on my experience and the other 3 people in line in front of me, and all of you need to recognise this was only a 10 minute segment of their day, I would rather sleep on the street in a gutter than stay at this hoptel. They care nothing for their patrons, simply want your money. You should really take a look at other hotels before evert attempting to book a room here. STAY AWAY!!!! This is a nice - hotel .clean and spacious compared to other hotels . Decor is white so hard to give appearance of " clean" although it is very clean . Nice pool area and not bad beach area . All and all hotel is very nice but not for the money - naybe rstes were higher then normal . Its not a 400 -500 a night hotel -its more of a 300 a night hotel […] .
