The Mimosa Hotel was a nice location. We were a little surprised when we saw the outside of the building, but relieved when we got inside and saw the... modern and updated decor.The rooms were a nice size and had good amenitites, although it would have been nicer to have carpeted floors instead of tile (maybe its a beach thing). Anyway, they have a nice little bar with drinks, sandwhiches, etc. in the lobby. There is a nice pool in the back of the hotel and immediate beach access which was fantastic. There are no views from the rooms, except of the side of a building that's under construction. There was alot of noise due to the construction, although it might not be a factor if you are gone most of the day. If we were the type of couple to return to the same hotel (city) on vacations, we'd probably consider staying at this one again. It's not walking distance from South Beach, Lincoln Avenue, or Ocean Drive so be prepared to take cabs or rent transporation. We had a rental car and there was secure parking (cheap) supplied by the hotel with ample in/out priviledges! by a Hotels.com guest on 05/07/13
