The location of hotel is good. Parking is a problem. Room is clean, but nothing inside, except a TV. We even need to go out to buy a coffee maker to get hot water. This is a very basic hotel as advertised. Check-in is 3:00 PM and we could not get a room until that time although they did offer an upgraded room. The Hotel is situated roughly 1 mile or a little less from Ocean Drive South Beach. "A bed & Shower, don't expect much else"
Room is fair size but lacking in counter/table space. The bathroom has a pedestal sink with no counter space, however there is a shallow shelf above the sink. There was a large walk in shower, water pressure was way low all the time and with all that space no soap dish or towel bar in the shower. There are night stands who's top is 16-18 inches off […] the floor, an entertainment center for clothes storage and minimal shelf space. There was one chair in the room, no desk or work space. There is very little parking close by. The only thing we got from the desk clerk was $30.00 per day valet service. There is a city parking lot about a half block away that cost us $17.50 per day. When I parked in a space out front and needed quarters for the meter, the desk clerk refused and left the counter. The room was clean and serviced well each day. You can trust the cleaning staff, only one block from the hotel and one block from a drug store so you can purchase your beverages and snacks. Will try to keep this short and direct. The South Beach Hotel had practically ZERO amenities. They had an ice machine, but no vending machines and no ice buckets in the rooms. "Acceptable on a budget if you just need to crash"
Staff great, location great but room was noisy due to very loud air con and some kind of water pump. Also the door to the toilet was only slatted from the main room so we took to running the shower whenever it was being used! "Gute Lage für einen Kurzaufenthalt in South Beach"
Das Hotel liegt ca. 300 Meter zum Strand und die Lincoln Road mit diversen Geschäften und Restaurants ist mit 4 Blocks Entfernung (ca. 750 Meter) in 10 Minuten gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Parkmöglichkeiten um das Hotel sind sehr eingeschränkt von daher ist man entweder auf das Valet Parking des Hotels angewiesen (kostet extra ca. 30$ pro Nacht ) oder […] man stellt das Auto in eines der Parkhäuser, die aber recht weit weg sind. Mit diesem Problem kämpft man aber nahezu überall in South Beach. Das Hotel selber ist in Ordnung, allerdings würde ich dort nicht für länger Zeit übernachten wollen, da es zum einen keinen Pool hat (man kann allerdings wohl den Pool des Crest Hotels nutzen , welches sich ca. 500 Meter entfernt befindet, was wir aber nicht genutzt haben) und zum anderen hört man doch den Lärm von der Straße ab dem frühen Morgen recht deutlich. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sehen recht stylisch aus. Lediglich der kleine Röhrenmonitor, passt nicht so richtig in das Bild. Einziges echtes Manko, am meinem Zimmer war, daß es die Klimaanlage zu keinem Zeitpunkt geschafft hat die Temperatur unter 26 Grad zu drücken, aber das mag am Zimmer gelgen haben, denn der Rest des Hotels war angenehm gekühlt. Es gibt dort übrigens auch ein kostenfreies WIFI, man muß an der Rezeption lediglich nach dem Passwort fragen. Für eine 2-3 Nächte Stippvisite ist das Hotel angesichts des für South Beach günstigen Preis- Leistungs Verhältnisses durchaus zu empfehlen. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
