"Good location but bad condition"
The room of hotel is sooo small especially the restroom. Me and my friend almost can not stand together in the restroom. And one woman of the front desk has terrible attitude. "Shockingly bad."
South Beach is awesome. This hotel is not. For a lot of money i got a disgusting dated, cracked-tiled floor room that looked like the set of a bad 80's horror movie. It was conveniently located next to a service ally and the broken blinds allowed plenty of 6am sunshine in. The cleaning staff cackled up and down the halls at 7am like they were at party. "NEVER AGAIN !!!"
We stayed for 9 nights in their supposed suites. Forget about things like hand towels, ONE per room and TWO washcloths per room. Very limited lighting in the rooms, one nightstand next to the queen size bed and no light. The shower did not drain correctly since the drain was higher than the shower floor. The closet was not deep enough to hang clothes […] straight, so you have to angle the hangers. One drawer to put your clothes in, not a normal chest of drawers. The manager of the hotel NEVER greeted us when we walked into the hotel, let alone acknowledged our presence, he was ALWAYS too involved with his computer. (It did not matter what time of day or night.) He was a very busy man, so much that when I asked for a late checkout (3pm) he adamantly replied with, " I will have to charge you an extra night". "Will not be returning"
Even though this hotel is located in a good spot (only a block in from the Ocean drive) I would probably not stay there again. The room was located practically in the lobby with windows facing the outdoor seating area... the noise level from the lobby and the outside was incredible, making it virtually impossible to get any sleep at night. "Delores Hotel in Miami Beach"
Excellent location, right in South Beach a block from the beach and its many clubs and restaurants. However, the hotel is spartan and not well maintained. "Stay if you're happy to share with a cockroach!"
This little hotel was easy to find on a very busy Collins Avenue, there are 15 minute parking bays for you to unload your car outside and parking in their sister hotel, The Eva. On entering the reception is was lovely and cool and beautifully presented but unfortunately we were met by a grumpy receptionist who wasn't really interested in us. After 20 […] minutes we eventually got our key but had to dump our bags and move our car before it got towed! The room was tiny but clean and was initially fine. However on coming back late evening I was in the cubical of a bathroom and a cockroach fell into the shower. On killing that one, there was another on the bathroom floor. Then my boyfriend said that one had just ran underneath the bed. Shocked, I called reception and asked for another room but they were fully booked as it was the 4th July weekend. But they could move us to their sister hotel where we were promised a larger room. By this time there was a lovely receptionist working so she walked us to the Eva. Again the reception was fine but on entering the room it was evident that this was the much cheaper version of the Delores. It was dirty, the sofa was ripped, the toilet continuously flushed every three minutes and the walls and ceilings were so thin that you literally heard everything that people in the other rooms were doing. So after four hours sleep we checked out unhappy and tired and will never return to either hotel. On leaving the Eva we did complain, saying that we didn't want to pay but had paid already through Hotels.com. Since returning, we have received a 40% refund which I appreciate. "Good location, small rooms."
Standard rooms are very small, 4 of them so small, that there is no space to open your suitcases unless you have a very compact one. It would be so so for single use, but offering it as a double room is monkey business. The promised equipment is there, but: the fridge was inside the cabinet, just 30cm from my head, the hairdryer was broken and so was […] the safety box (luckily the personnel fixed it), the TV was not showing any program (the personnel did not fix it). The coffee maker is there (in the cabinet), but as there is no space to accessibly place it, one can not use it. The hotel is nicely located and the staff was very kind but in total that´s not worth the money we paid. "Only location.Thony"
Hotel is very well located on Collins St. close to the beach, Lincoln Mall, Ocean Drive etc., but there are a lot of hotels in the area. Staff is OK friendly when there. The “full size bed” is minimal. We had room 11, which had a window to a small alley where they had a small room with some hotel stuff, which was cooled by a noisy ventilator. We could […] also here the housekeepers talking there from early in the morning. So between the horrible and small bed, the humming refrigerator, the noisy AC, the shouting housekeepers and the paper thin walls it was impossible to get a decent night of sleep. The hotel went apparently through a renovation recently, but it did not look so in our room. Furthermore, the hotel advertises with free parking if there is place, which is not true. You have to pay 25 USD a day for a parking spot at their sister hotel. The breakfast was a juice and a muffin.
