We got there @ 10:45pm the clerk just gave us the key told us we were in the Davis bldg & sent us on our way. So with that being said he failed to say to us oh your room comes with a free voucher for the continental breakast if you want to upgrade to the buffet it is $4.95 extra Didn't find all that out until that morning. Also I was unaware that I […] had a choice to give cash or use a CC for the $50 deposit, had I know I would have went with cash because it takes 3-5 business days to get your $ back on your CC which caused a inconvience. The front desk should've been more informational. On the good side it was close to alot of neat shops & food places up & down the street and close to the beach. I would choose this place again now that I know all there is to know, but would hope not to get the Davis bldg again the hotel is split into 4's ( I think). Great location, but older building...but then, we come for the art deco buildings. Room was SMALL (like European rooms...ok, by me as we are small too) and clean, bed was comfortable. I arrived to the hotel at 10AM. The staff was very nice, and they held my luggage in the lobby until check-in time. Hotel is only a few short blocks to the beach and not too far for shopping. This hotel was pretty good. It was clean for the most part. We had a weird bug issue in our room and they switch us out immediately although they did have security come check to see if we lied or not. The location is great 2 blocks from the beach. Right on a main strip where all the food and stores are. Police station next door so i felt safe. The pool […] was nice and they give you towels for the pool. They don't give much extra and there are NO ELEVATORS. so be aware you could be upstairs. The restaurant is not that cheap but there is a diner right across the street. I didn't eat there but I heard its a good diner. They let me into my room early but they always say they can't promise coming in earlier than 4pm and they do have a little slot in the lobby for bags if you do come early. This hotel is a good deal if you consider the price and location. Easy to find, at walking distance from the beach, Ocean Drive, Espanola Way and Lincoln Street, much quiter location than any of the streets just mentioned. There is a parking garage one street away, behind the Police station, where you can park your rental for $20 a day. Big flat screen […] TV and free fast internet. A few downsides you should consider: no elevator in the hotel, the air conditioning in the room is very loud, the outside area with the pool and lounge chairs is not taken care of and it can be easily accessed by anyone walking down the street, breakfast is not included in the package (but Starbucks is very close). The hotel was not one that I would normally choose. The staff was a bit abrasive, they were constantly out of clean towels, the hallways were a bit dirty. BUT, I was there for the Ultra Music Festival with my sister and the hotel had several important features: a pool, it was safe and it was within easy walking distance to the beach for daytime snoozing […] and exploring South Beach. 2 blocks to beach – plenty of garage parking in area for $20-$30 a day (going rate) – restaurants, shops, movie, etc... all in area within 1-2 blocks. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Police Department and City Hall right next door making it relatively safe area.

The picture of the outside of Hotel was totally different in person. The picture of the rooms match exactly. The rooms are small but comfortable, free Internet, LCD HD TV, Ipod docking station fm am radio. The only problem we had is that room service would clean the room and take the dirty towels but not replace them (we had to request towels 2 out […] 3 nights).
