"Wyndham Garden not a garden"
I don't like to be negative, but this supposed 3 1/2 star hotel was a joke. It really seemed like a 2 star. Some days we didn't get fresh towels until 7pm or later. There were gnats in the bathroom (not just ours). The showers are horrible. Almost no water pressure - and they use those wands which almost never work well (our kept falling). They tried […] to repair it with "tape". Wow. Air conditioner was spotty. Their way of making it better was to turn on the ceiling fan. That helps of course, but that's not a true "fix." While the maids were nice, there were very few of them to handle the work load - and none of them speak English (only the front desk people do). This hotel must have paid someone for the 3 1/2 star rating - that's all I can suspect. This hotel stay was a nightmare gone bad! When we arrived and were given our room, it had not been cleaned at all! The desk clerk was accommodating by upgrading us to another room that was clean. However, that was the only time it was clean! We stayed three days and was not satisfied with the daily cleaning of the room. I stayed with two friends for 6 days, we had to request towels for 5 out of the 6 days. Staff is lazy and slow. They literally wash your exact towels and bring them back every night. This hotel’s location was great - right in the middle of all the happenings on South beach (if you’re into that - bars, restaurants, the beach, shopping) all within a couple blocks. First, let me say that all the reviews of this hotel are TRUE. You basically get what you pay for. I honestly expected more for a 3-star rated hotel. The daily room service was impressive and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the artwork and decor. I must say that 2 people were extremely helpful...the rest..AWFUL. When I first called about the shower, the woman at the front desk confirmed there was a H and C and if I was putting the nozzle on H. Also, with all of the trouble, I was offered free late check out. First got a room with 1 bed when I was to have 2, then gav a room with 2 beds but room smelt of cigarette smoke, finally got a room with 2 doubles but I was to have 2 Queens. The elevator did not work, the pool was green and finally worked by Saturday.
