"Wyndham Garden Inn South Beach"
I booked the Wyndham for 4 nights and ended up checking out after the first night. The room was filthy dirty and the bed sheets had blood stains on them. I had no hot water and my shower head would not stay up. When I called the front desk they were able to fix the hot water but their solution to fix the shower head was to duct tape it to the top of […] the shower. very unhappy. Bathroom disgusting. Holes in woodwork in bathroom, shower dirty and not the kind of dirt that can be cleaned. Phone not working. Bedside lamp not working. Of course as always the pictures show this beautiful clean, huge room. To bad when we went there the entire hotel smelled like rotted wood, the room was so small we had to do the electric slide just to get anywhere! Mind you it was the "grand opening". "Dont stay here unless........."
We got there and we had to walk about a block to our buiding. Once we got to our room both keys that were provided did not work. After a day of driving and checking in a midnight the last thing you want to do is have to complain and walk to get another set of room keys that actually work. The gentleman at the front desk took his time helping another […] guest ignoring the fact that I was standing there and needed something. Considering I had jsut left 5 minutes ago you would think he would acknowledge and ask if I needed anything else. The bulding stunk, the room carpets were dirty, the shower was dirty, the toilet got clogged. I would not stay at this hotel again. A motel 6 is probably better than this. "Horrible experience"
The hotel room was dirty. When we turned on the water it came out rusty. Smoke detector beeped at various times all night long. Shower head was broken. "Define 3 Stars"
This hotel was not 3Stars, it was more like 1.5. No heat in rooms, hotel is just too old. Some rooms are too small. And housekeeping is a joke, just poorly managed overall. It's an ok location for south beach. "Very disastisfied with cleaniness and stealing by staff"
Hotel Review: We were at the hotel for 3 nights. The bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. Not all garbage was removed from the room on a daily basis. We had to ask for coffee packets and they still didn't leave it in the room. There wasn't a blow dryer or iron in the room. Room wasn't cleaned until 5:00 pm one day. Left an expensive phone charger in the […] room.. I called and spoke to a girl at the front desk and she had me call back several times as she was checking and said nothing was left. I had asked her to double check and she was going to check with the supervisor of the maids. Still nothing and she asked me to call back. I called back and asked for the Manager, and explained my concerns with the hotel. He took my name and number and was going to call me back about the phone charger. It has been a week later and I have not recieved a call back. There was one manager that was on nights that was very personable and made several recommendations on what to do in the area. "blood on the toilet seat, pubic hairs on the towel"
Eight guys in total, for a bachelor party. told at checkin that the rooms we booked (and fully paid for in advance) were not available: 2 rooms with two double beds each. We were offered to instead stay over 4 miles away from all the action at another hotel or instead simply stay at the hotel with two rooms each with a single bed and a pull-out. When […] we entered our rooms, we found that neither had pull-outs, only one bed in each room. Went back to complain and then were told that we were stuck with those rooms, and that the manager was not available to deal with our frustration. In my room, there appeared to be specks of blood on the edges and underside of the toilet seat. We also had dirty towels (appear to be pubic hairs on them). Disgusting. Also, the ice machine on our floor was not working. On the plus side, the rooms appear to be nicely furnished for the most part. The location is excellent. The outdoor area and the pool are pretty decent. BTW- there were lots of people who were checking in and dealing with similar frustrations. We went to find the manager the day we were leaving in order to get some sort of compensation for the situation but the lobby was chock full of angry customers waiting to complain.
