"NOT My Cup of Tea..."
Overpriced. I am biased, because I am used to being spoiled when I travel. I like to be treated politely and with great customer service. My biggest complaint was the customer service. People were rude, and stared at my husband and I if we weren't dressed a certain way. We came in from the beach and someone stopped me to ask if we "belonged" to the […] hotel. The Betsy was small and eco friendly (not my thing). No shower door, no options to watch movies in the room, tiny room, hallways were hot, crappy pool. They did have books and games for rent and purchase (again, not my thing). The pool is enclosed by walls, so not the best space to get sun. Beach was close and was much better than going to the pool. The restaurant was good - BLT is recommended. Overall I would rate this hotel a 4 out of 10. I have never provided a rating before, but I felt strongly enough about this one to say something. For me, the saddest part about your comment was that you felt that we were un-welcoming. This is simply not the case, as our Guests range in all demographics to both extremes of affluence, culture, ethnicity, etc. We have a very diverse hotel -both in our staff and our Guests! I am so sorry that you felt this way, and would welcome the opportunity to make this up to you on a future visit. It really does matter. I notice that you didn't mention our glorious roof deck for sunning when the sun doesn't fall on the pool - actually, many people appreciate the privacy of our pool area for a quiet getaway from all of the excitement of Ocean Drive and South Beach. Aside from the Roof Deck, I am happy that you seemed pleased with our restuarant, BLT. The Betsy is intimate, but with no shortage of services - the rooftop spa, the library, the incredible dining opportunities, our Art Gallery. I regret that you did not get to experience what most of our Guests do while at the Betsy. We take our Guests and our service very seriously and very personally at the Betsy. I hope that you give us the chance to show you a more typical stay. Even if not, I remain at your service any time that you are visiting the Miami Beach area!

At check in everything was wonderful, the hotel was beautiful. although the things that happen to my debit card were not as great. The hotel forgot to tell me that they charge my debit card a $100 a day for security purposes which was ok until i found out that they hold my money for a week and a half after i leave. Then come to find out upon checkout […] that they charge $30 a day to valet your car on top of the $100 a day. then i was charged for mini bar foods that were never eaten and they refused to credit me. In the end my bank account was charged almost $300 on top of the price of a 2 night stay which was very pricey. I was very upset that none of this was explained to me upon check in. if you do decide to stay at this hotel make sure you ask prior to check in what everything costs. Das Betsie ist ein entzückendes Boutique Hotel- contra: etwas zu teuer und die Zimmer sind klein. Lage ist ok. Restaurant ist toll, aber auch eher teuer. Hospedei-me pela segunda vez no THE BETSY, e gostei muito.Retornei, mas agora achei a limpeza muito mal feita.Limpeza é o principal item a considerar na minha escolha do hotel.Embaixo da cama parecia ter teia de aranha, as bordas dos abajures dos lados da cama tinham uma "coroa" de pó acumulado e atrás do vaso sanitário não deu para pegar um objeto […] meu que caiu pois estava sujo e com coisas que haviam caido ali e não foram retiradas, assim conclui-se que atrás do vaso a limpeza não chegou.
