San Juan Hotel

This hotel isn't worthy of a 2 star rating. The room, carpet, curtains and walls are dingy and dirty. There weren't nightstands or lamps beside the bed. I wouldn't bathe my dog in the swimming pool at San Juan Hotel. I had booked two nights, but checked out after the first night. I want my money back.

My stay was terrible, the hotel RIGHT OUTSIDE our window was being remodeled and construction started right at 6 a.m. The noise never stopped. Do not stay here!! This hotel is run down, the rooms are out dated, and the service is the worst. The bathroom had a disgusting moldy plastic shower curtain and a shower chair that looks like it has been there for years. Overall it was the worst experience ever. The management was horrible My guests and I were up till 6 in the morning due to people in the room above us arguing and fighting and yelling throwing things. We went to management three times to have something about it and they said it was handled and it still continued. Cops were called and showed up at around […] 6:30 after the noise went away. When we arrived we were greeted by someone who had a very nasty attitude with us and was very unpleasant. Granted, I stayed here for the proximity to South Beach on a budget. It was a convenient walking distance away. The pool area was nice as well. This is the worst hotel I have never stayed in. On arrival I should have realised things were not right before I even went inside. Not the owners fault but to the immediate right of the hotel there was demolition work, to the left there was building work in progress so the chances of a quiet relaxing break were zero but the worst was yet to come. I […] booked in & up to the 3rd floor I went, coming out of the lift I just couldn't believe what I saw. There was internal renovation being carried out in what seemed every room, I was walking on a filthy carpet that had building rubble leading up to my room. On entering my heart sank even more. I felt I had walked into a furniture junk yard. Going back along the rubble strewn carpeted corridor I noticed that new room doors had been fitted & the plastic coverings were still on them & there was Cardboard on the fire exit route, this was surely not safe, I explained my concerns to the lady at reception,customers should not be treated this way. I telephoned my concerns to Expedia. I walked along Collins Ave & happened upon the Beach Plaza Hotel - Sebastian was brilliant & let me view a room unacompanied, this room was great & the location from the beach etc perfect. The San Juan has not been kept up to standard & will always struggle to achieve anything but a hostel status as far as I am concerned. Read more

You can hear everything though thin doors-even someone walking down the hall or a cell phone from the room across the hall. I was there to run the marathon and was kept up till it was time to go run -there is no air conditioner in the room , and no screen on the windows.Staff did all they could to help but no cure for a noise

Hotellet har en positiv sak, läget. Det ligger nära ocean drive, och precis brevid den affärs och restaurangtäta lincoln rd. Resten är en mindre positiv historia. Hela hotellet känns smutsigt och ofräscht. Herrtoaletten i lobbyn är riktigt otrevlig. Lobbyn i sig stank mestadels av kemikalier. Rummen är även de ofräscha, bortsett från badrummen som […] man helt omotiverat renoverat ordentligt. JAg fattar inte varför man inte bemödade sig måla om rummen samtidigt, det skulle lyft rummen ordentligt. Vi fick rökarrum trots att vi bokat icke rökare. Dock har rummet både kylskåp, frys och mikro, vilket såklart kan vara trevligt. AC'n på rummen väsnas så till den milda grad, att några i vårt resesällskap fick be om hjälp från receptionen som helt sonika skickade en man som tepjade igen utblåset.
