Good location, right on Collins Ave . Good service, with the welcome drink and continental breakfast. Breakfast was more than just toast and cereal, which was really nice. However, the hotel was older than what it looked like in the picture. We got upgraded to a nice room with a balcony which was really pretty. We had some issues when booking our hotel and when we were trying to get everything worked out the front end clerks were not any help. Thank gosh Hotels.com has great customer service or our trip would've been ruined. The people working probably had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The gentleman that worked the bar for breakfast on […] our first day there made it so we didn't even eat breakfast in the hotel again. The location is GREAT, rooms are clean. If you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel it is worth it. But expect to not have any help, get attitudes for asking for extra towels, etc. Read more

This hotel is in a great location, just around the corner form the beach and the main strip. The hotel/room was very clean and trendy. Just be advised you will be charged a 19 dollar resort fee in addition to your stay. The fee includes two cocktails, continental breakfast, beach towels and chairs. All-in-all I would stay there again.

Pretty poor. You need new mattresses - mine were soft and saggy. I could hear the people talking in the next room. Immediate area on Collins Ave had many drunks and undesirables roaming around. I did find plenty of good restaurants nearby and it was a short walk to Lincoln Rd.

The hotel is in a good location. The hotel renovated with modern look but the quality of the room and bads are poor. The mattress is very cheap with big noice when you turn or move little bid. The rooms are with no noice inserlation. I could hear next room packing plastic noice. If you think some couple need to make love that would be horrible to hear […] the noice. The hotel also charge for $19.00 plus tax per day for resort fees when your stay above you already paid hotel rate. The price I paid for the quality of stay is not worth. I had a great stay! The staff working there did everything that could be done to make my stay the best. My husband was sick and the staff helped me out to come in contact with hospitalcontacts etc. There was also this man working in the reception Feaud..that helped us more than you can ask for!!

The hotel staff was nice and accomidating. The hotel and rooms were clean and crisp. I felt very comfortable in my room. Beautifully designed. Close to everything and I enjoyed breakfast at the sister hotel every morning. Continental breakfast was basic but nice for a quick start to the morning. I've stayed at several of the boutique hotels on Collins over the past 7 yrs and wanted to try yet another one during my week long stay this trip. The rates were very attractive, which left me wondering what I was in for. Layout and rooms were decent, felt airy and minimal which I like. Wasn't as dated looking as other hotels on the strip, but I can't […] figure out why they don't include an ipod stereo player or a clock?! The bathroom was nice and a good size (I got a penthouse level room). The flat screen TV offers 2 channels at best.. Why install flat screen plasmas if you're not going to offer basic cable service? It was mostly an ornament for the wall. The bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet considering the location. My biggest complaint is with the housekeeping or lack there of. They cleaned my room around or after 4pm for the 5 nights I was there. So spending a day at the beach and coming back to a dirty room with no clean towels absolutely ruined the experience. There was no card to display on the front door for housekeeping as I found out later there should've been. Read more

Older, art deco hotel, cute decor, clean and bright, nice staff. Needs better mattresses ( manager said upgrades are in the works.) Easy walk to everything, 2 minutes to the beach and tons of restaurants, shopping all up and down Collins ave. Walk or bike or cab to museums. I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was booked as a last-minute staycation, and my expectations were realistic for the price range. However, upon arrival, my expectations were exceeded. The staff did all they could to help with my reservation, even when I had issues checking in. They upgraded me to the Penthouse Suite which had a balcony/terrace […] and view of the city. This was the highlight of my stay. It felt great to go outside and get some air, see the city, and to leave the balcony doors open so fresh air could circulate the room. The round bed was so comfortable and the pillows made it so hard to get out of bed each morning :) The shower is modern and bathroom had a nice design. One complaint about the shower is that it was on the ceiling and I wasn't really trying to get my hair wet. The detachable showerhead helped. I liked the bottled water, which was a nice touch and the free cocktails and breakfast were also a pleasant surprise. The bartender made my Tequila Sunrise STRONG and he was also great to chat with. I enjoyed my stay both within the room and in the lobby. When weather permitted, I was glad to find that the beach was a short walk away. The hotel also provides free beach towels and chairs (I forgot about the chair, but it was a nice gesture). The staff was very friendly, even after checkout, holding my bags (and the door) as I explored the area. GREAT hotel, GREAT location, GREAT price. Small, humble and cozy. :) Read more

Location is fantastic, parking at garage 5 mins away at $20 overnight is better than the valet $$ at hotel. Staff is friendly, valets super friendly and helpful. Clean, modern/chic, no fuss design. Room is good size, bathroom small but works. Walls are paper thin as I could hear everyone's business all around...no privacy basically. Beds are the worst […] and creaky noisy. Liked the free happy hour drink/person and the free continental breakfast in restaurant/bar in lobby. Small frig and large lock box in big closet with ironing necessities. This hotel seems like it would be great for college kids on a budget, looking for a cheap night in South Beach to party until all hours of the night. We did have one issue with our room and the noise level of the people next to us, but to the credit of the front desk they moved our room to an upgraded suite without trouble or any cost to us (though […] truth be told it didn't help the noise level in this hotel any.) What they don't tell you until you check in is the $15 a day "resort fee" (although I'd be hard pressed to call this place a resort) which covers a thin beach towel and a "continental breakfast" which is literally toast and cereal. Totally not worth the money, and brings up the cost of the cheap hotel to make it almost not worth it. Like I said, this hotel is probably fine for college kids looking for a cheap way to party in South Beach, but if you are not into this scene and would like to sleep sounder and you can afford an nicer hotel I'd suggest it! Was a very decent place to stay. Bed wasn't super comfortable, but it wasn't uncomfortable either. Hotel itself was quiet, even during a sold-out weekend, but could still hear music from outside. If you are looking for a place to crash in the heart of South Beach this hotel is for you. I will warn you, the walls are thin and the elevator is super slow. But there is a happy hour special and the bartender is friendly. My room was clean, staff was attentive to my needs and when I had a problem with the air condition it was fixed quickly.

Just what you need for a quick weekend getaway! Small, quaint room with chic decor. Small bathroom but big enough to handle your business. Beds are small and maybe not the best for a romp around but will make due if you are on a budget. I am glad I booked the room even though I read all the negative comments. No problems for me or my company!

The hotel is very nice, clean, and close to the beach. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was that the walls seemed to be very thin, and we could hear people next door talking or people outside of our room. Other than the noise issue, everything was great!

The President Hotel in South Beach has been remodeled inside, and the place is very clean and pleasant. The front desk personnel were extremely nice and helpful, but the guys at the bar (which also served the meager breakfast) watched like someone was going to steal something. The breakfast was included in the $15 "resort fee" that we were required […] to pay, but there was little selection - apples and oranges, a couple different kinds of cereal and bread for toast. That was it for the food, and of course coffee and juice were supplied. We had to pay $30 for valet parking, but parking is at a premium in South Beach so it was either pay that or public parking for about $20. We were caught either way. We did get one free alcoholic drink each during happy hour. Our room was very clean and pleasant, but they should spend a little more for good mattresses. The bed didn't sleep well at all. But the location was super - walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The front desk had beach chairs & towels for us to use. Overall it was a good experience. Read more

After I paid for my room online, I checked in at front desk only to get charged another $175 for resort fees and parking fees. This was not including the $50/day deposit you also had to pay. I was quite disappointed with the hotel. My room was extremely small, the pool was closed, and the staff was quite unfriendly. The walls were so paper thin you […] could literally hear every whisper in the adjacent rooms. On top of that, I was extremely amazed how different the room looked on picture. Every decoration and fixture in the room looks like they bought it at salvation army. On the first day I was there, I called front desk for extra towels. 2 hours later, I had to call again since I never received it. 2 hours after my second call, I had to call again for a 3rd time. Then the next day, they forgot to clean my room and I was out from 8 AM to 4:30 PM so they had plenty of time to clean it. When I called front desk to complain, they said they were going to get it done in an hour. Well, 4 hours later, it was never done. The hotel rooms are painted really nice and unique. The showers are clean unique and nice. But bring your own toothpaste because they don't supply it. They do have soap and shampoo and stuff.
