    We were looking for a room for one night prior to leaving for Key West. Thank goodness for the location right on Sobe, otherwise we would have considered sleeping in the car. For what we paid it was a wash.

Watch the valet parking b/c it is run by outside company and kinda sketchy (at one point we were told we couldn't have our car for 2 hours, then they got our rates all mixed up and tried to charge us more then was due).     We stayed at this hotel in the past. Free drink if expedia booking but you have to ask for the coupon, they don’t just give it to you. We stayed on the 2nd floor & 3rd floor. I requested a "newly renovated room" in my bookings so the rooms were recently renovated but the contracted must have been a fly by night drunken worker as the tile in the bathrooms […] were very uneven and not straight, in one room the bathroom the door was so close to the toilet they had to cut out about 2 inches of the door so the door could close. NO screens on the window, it says non smoking but there was a clean ashtray in the room (room did not have a strong smoke smell) hotel has a creepy 2 person elevator. 3rd floor rooms were hot. The thermostats in the rooms r old the old. You could put the thermostat on 50 & the rooms would stay the same temp, our a/c vent was closed. I spoke with the mgr and was told the entire building has 1 thermostat & they could not change the temp, the thermostat in the room’s dont work. Parking is not included in the $ of the room, valet is $25.00 & you have to pick you vehicle up by 1pm the next day or it is another $25.00. Or there is a parking garage just behind the hotel on 13th and Collins that charges a maximum of $20.00 for 24 hours. Then come to find out that check out time was one hour earlier than what it said in the website and she didn't care to clear it up. The room was tiny, we had 3 people, I couldn't imagine 4 people being in there with nowhere to sit/stand besides the bed.     This hotel has a great location!!! The place was old and could have used some cosmetic stuff done to it. But the location was great, they gave a free drink, and perfect getaway to have fun. The hall was noisy with people.

    General - This hotel is located in the historic district of Miami Beach, so expect to be staying in an older hotel. The rooms are currently being renovated with new paint and new bathrooms. Our room, thank goodness had recently been redone, and I musts say, they did a nice job. New tile in the bathroom, with new sinks, floors, etc were welcoming, while […] the walls also had a fresh coat of paint. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, I was expecting a brick, but was met with a fairly comfortable soft mattress. The sheets and covering on the other hand were terrible. The TV - this thing is a relic! I thought people were joking in past reviews, but they weren't. It is literally a 13" TV VCR combo mounted to the wall. Although older, they do however have an amazing channel selection. All of the rooms come with satellite TV and include many channels. The Air Conditioning - I had read in many other reviews that the air conditioning was broken in the past, well, THEY FIXED IT! and I nearly froze my tail off! Each room has a control in it, but mine did not do anything. Our room was a consistent 65 degrees! Location - This hotel is perfectly located to EVERYTHING! If you want drinks or food, you can fall out of your bed and land within food service. The food served at the hotel was surprisingly good. Typical burgers, steaks, and crab all with regular dinner specials (A bit of advice, almost all of the restaurant offer deals to people if they are not packed with customers. I specifically ate at odd times to get bigger discounts.). The hotel is directly opposite the beach, volley ball courts, and a multitude of other entertainment. The night clubs were the next block over, and the staff helped us find and get into them as well. A perfect hotel if location and price are most important to you.     Is located on ocean drive, in walking distance of all restraunts, attraction sites, clubs, shopping, beach and more.... I stay every year because it is agreat price for the location but the staff are rude and bring and they could update it and clean more.. all in all great for the money if your there to party.

This trip was 3 guys in their 40s on a motorcycle trip - so we are willing to put up with a few things others may not be. We had two rooms. Mine was OK but by morning the a/c was not working.     Well the elevator was out of service...no sound on the tv...the room phone was broken...but the air conditioning was great...central air-a nice break from those window/wall units. Bathroom was small but clean and well maintained. The hotel is right across the street from the ocean in the heart of South Beach...it works.

    I picked the hotel because of it's location but was very dissapointed with the quality of the rooms. They were extremely small and there wasn't room for much. It also did not seem very clean and they could use some remodeling. Rooms that small shouldn't be so expensive in spite of the location.
