"Underwhelming"
Our stay at the Bentley was okay. Just a warning to those who are looking for proximity to the beach: the Bentley's "beach access" is not right outside their door. You have to walk 4 blocks down and two blocks over to get to the beach (about a 10 minute walk). We arrived early and were told our rooms were not ready but we would receive a call as soon […] as they were. The lobby is the size of a closet so we had to leave and walk around town, which was fine except for the monsoon rains and the fact that the hotel "forgot" to call us when our room was available. The condition of the room was fine: clean and well put together. The elevator was broken our entire stay, forcing us to use the service elevator, which is where they keep all of their trash cans so it reaked of hot garbage every time we left the hotel. Valet parking was a challenge as well. You have to call the front desk 15 minutes prior to needing your car so they can go run 3 blocks to get it and bring it back. We called about 20 minutes before we needed it, went down expecting our car to be ready, only to be told the front desk never notified them we needed it. We were late to our dinner reservations as a result. We made sure to go down to valet directly the day we left so we would not be late for our flight. None of our experiences at the Bentley were the end of the world, but just not what I expected from a 4 star hotel in South Beach and certainly not worth the price tag. "Disappointed"
Perhaps it was because the staff was overwhelmed by spring break, but service was subpar with respect to room cleaning, valet and pool/hot tub cleanliness. If not for the location, all would have been lost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a Boutique Hotel!"
This hotel is in a great position but our room and balcony was overlooking a car lot. The general areas are in need of maintenance and feels like its decaying (peeling paint, chips, paint drips) Although advertised there is NO GYM. Breakfast feels cheap with coffee in paper cups and only 4 tables! I was awoken at 6:45 am on Sunday by the front desk […] asking if this was the number for the PH. It wasn't and got no apology for waking us up. The receptionists make no effort to greet you, they didn't seem to care at check in or check out - not a warm welcome. The upside is the use of the beach club and also that the rooms are well proportioned and clean and I suspect if you are not in room 403 overlooking the car lot you will have a more uplifting vacation but if you thought you were paying for a room with a reasonable view and the use of a gym in a well maintained facility then you would feel a little bit like you had just overpaid for your stay!!!! "Great Location..Hotel lacking"
What a weird experience... We (2 adults and 2 kids) arrived to a great suite (the kids didn't mind the bad sleeper sofa) we unpacked, and enjoyed a few hours at the great rooftop pool. The location is great not too loud and convenient to many great South Beach locations. The beach club was a haul for two youngsters ( 3 & 6 ), but was very nice once […] we got there. Our plan was to hit the beach until lunch or so and then enjoy the pool each afternoon. This was not to be... The pool was closed the rest of our visit (3 of the 4 afternoons of our visit). They told us we could use the pool next door but it was also closed for service until after dinner on our final night. I understand the need for service but we weren't informed of any of this by the front desk. We would pick up towels and head to the pool only to be met by caution tape and an empty pool. We would then head to the neighboring pool and be informed that the pool was also closed. My wife and I could handle this, but try telling that to two children who wanted some play time. They said the sundeck was open, perfect for roasting your kids without a pool. The continental breakfast was lacking. No Fruit in Florida??? two choices of cereal, no toast or butter and bad coffee.. I walked (1 mile total) to the Publix and bought strawberries and bread for our breakfasts Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bentley Hotel South Beach"
Very disappointing. Room was big enough but stains on the carpet, dingy hallway, weird smells... and $65 overnight parking. Will certainly not come back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The picture you see does NOT resemble this hotel at all. It's a total WOW when you arive. The room was very small, it was not worth the fortune we paid for it. The private beach is four blocks away. You pay a daily fee for the private beach and you have to walk through the slums to get there. Someone used our room number for there beach chairs and then […] they wanted to argue with us that it was us and not give us our chairs and umbrella. The breakfast was the same everyday. If you stay for a night maybe two it is ok. After that it gets very old. Waffles and yogurt, no eggs, no meat. We wished we would had saved the money and got a cheaper hotel, it would have probably been more enjoyable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's a shame that we won't be returning."
The hotel is in a wonderful location and the staff is polite, so it is a shame that we won't be returning. I believe that this was our fourth stay on business within four months. With the exception of our first visit, every room that we stayed in after that had small bugs. These bugs were on our food, belongings and even our own bodies. I had to try […] to hide and cover anything that could possibly attract them, but I even found them crawling on my arms while brushing my teeth. The staff tries the minimize the problem, but they are unable to get rid of the building of these tiny menaces. During our last stay, there was no internet in the rooms. I was told that I was the only one in the hotel who had a problem with that. I was not able to keep up with my work and combined with the bug situation, we will never return. "Forced Nickel & Dime charges"
No on site parking for guests.....was forced to pay $30/day valet! $25 per person, per day, resort fees......regardless if you use the amenities! Affiliate "Bellini" restaurant added 18% gratuity automatically for a dinner party of 2ppl. Seems to contradict the entire concept of tipping!Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Bentley Hotel South Beach I apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced during our stay. We try to make it convenient for our guests to offer valet parking so that they do not have to worry about parking on the beach. It is a standard operating procedure to include a resort fee so that we can provide you with all the great accommodations we offer at our hotel. Again I apologize for any inconveniences.
"Great Location"
If you plan to just party and enjoy the beach, the Bentley is the spot. The main downside was that the wireless internet connection had to be reset every two minutes and there was construction going on very early in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Boutique Hotel on Ocean Drive - never again"
Spend a little more and stay at a building retaining it's Art Deco character. For entrance you have to pass tables of a restaurant. First floor has a small reception where a poor continental breakfast is served, if not standing inside on a small terrace with 4 tables with ocean view. Stained dark aisles, nice rooms with kitchen (loud fridge). Street […] view on Ocean drive / 5th St, loud due to trafic and music from restaurants. Others to a small court and quite dark - stretch your head out of the window to see the sky. Was booked on room 304, in front of the window is the lift, so on all floors these are totally dark. Arrival 6 p.m. no way to get another room, next day got a room with court view. Several demands for upgrade with view (willing to pay more) within 10 days not rewarded. Roof-terrace ok, but pool with 3-4ft. not deep enough to swim (except kids). "Beach Club" 4 blocks away is of the Hilton- Bentley on 1 St - included in the 25 USD "resort fee". Valet-Parking 30USD, can take 30-45 min. to get car. My last stay on Ocean Drive was some years ago, nowadays it's totally packed with restaurants, you can't pass without being bothered 20-30 times to take a look at the menu. I envied a friend who stayed in the "Winter Haven" at 1400 Ocean Drive - 50 bucks more per night and at least there's a nice lobby with bar and Art Deco elements. Upper part of Ocean Drive is less crowded, you have landmark hotels and it's closer to walk to Lincoln Road. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Bentley"
