I was extremely pleased and would be thrilled to stay at the Surfcomber again. The location was ideal - right on the beach, just steps from the Ritz... Carlton and Lincoln Rd. Mall. The lobby, restaurants and pool areas were lovely - chic decor - coffee, infused water, and hot cocoa for guests at appropriate times. The pool was very warm, which was great, given the chilly wind blowing from the ocean. The restaurants were excellent and the poolside service, in particular, was very good. The front desk staff were also extremely helpful. The rooms were also nicely decorated, but small - especially the bathrooms - and especially for a family (I traveled alone with my two daughters, ages 12 and 9) - the price of staying at a "boutique" hotel - would not necessarily deter me in the future, however. And the clientele was varied - couples, straight and gay, families, groups of women traveling alone, business and leisure travelers. My only real disappointment was the gym - which had three pieces of cardio equipment, one of which was broken, facing a wall - and some weights and a weight bench for men. by Cindy from Boston, MA on 03/30/13
