"It was okay..."
The overall experience was okay, but not awesome. The rooms were small. There was an event going on at the pool and the chaos of that was not fun. Plus for my guests to get to go to the event, there was a $140 charge.. Plus I had to pay a pool fee, yet couldn't enjoy the pool bc of the event. "Expected better... much better!"
Location is great, rooms are better than some SoBe hotels, the hotel has plenty of activities but the service that´s a very different story: very mad at the housekeeping service, after our first night we arrived at the room about 9:00 pm and the room wasn´t clean, we call the fornt desk to complain ant they told us that if we wanted our room to be cleaned […] we chall leave our room, belive me after a long day at the beach the least thing I expected is to leave the room. They didn´t compensate us in any way and for the price paid really didn´t expected that quality service. And that wasn´t the only problem, the last day at 9:00 am even with the don´t disturb sign, they knock at the door and open to door asking if they could clean the room. Totally unfair. "A little below average"
First of all, it is not a 4 star hotel. I've seen all kinds of hotels and this is a 2.5, maybe a 3 at best. The rooms resemble a cruise ship room (tight and small), they don't have any fridge (are you kidding me?), you can hear the people next to you simply talking (not too loud) because the walls are so small (since they allow dogs and babies that […] is a huge drawback), there is construction immediately next to you with an alarm that sounds like a police siren for hours (seriously) that starts at about 7 am and quits sometimes, a concierge desk that was gone for the day at 5:15 pm (again, seriously?), a front desk staff that will not call you back when you ask a simple question like (what nightclubs are good? since the concierge was gone) (btw, they took my name and room number twice and never called back), and an ok hotel restaurant. It wasn't all bad. They did have great doormen, wine servers, pool servers, and excellent pool boys. They did give us free coffee and wine (white, red, and sangria) every morning and evening. The lobby and bar was higher end than expected. The pool was well kept, had pleasant music, had nice fountains, stocked with free flavored water (with fruit floating in it), and occasionally they gave free food and frozen grapes to help you cool off. "Beware hidden parking charges"
Not a cheap place to stay to begin with, they then charge $35+ for parking per night plus $10 for the valet service - shame we weren't told that before we booked! Our room was quite small and the bathroom smaller still. It was billed as 'King Delux' but wasn't anything of the sort. The first thing we saw upon entering the room was a closet without a […] door containing the ironing board and other bits and pieces. There was a random surfboard wrapped in a towel and fishing line hung over the bed which didn't add to the ambience! The 'free breakfast' was in fact just tea and coffee. However, they'd run out of regular tea and Earl Grey, and didn't replenish them when requested. After retrieving a teabag from my luggage, the hot water urn then ran out, and no-one was around to refill it. The hotel had beachside access, however the keypass gate didn't work when we wanted to get back in, so we had to walk all the way round to the front. "Usel service"
Den usla servicen präglade hela upplevelsen av det här hotellet. Bemötandet från personalen i receptionen var otrevligt och rakt igenom oprofessionellt. Det tog exempelvis tre timmar för oss att få vårt rum efter att vi checkat in. Dessutom fick vi ingen städning av rummet flera av dagarna. Trots uppenbara tillkortakommanden erbjöds vi aldrig någon […] form av kompensation. Hotellet lever på sitt läge. Standarden på rummen och hotellet i övrigt är medelmåttigt. Precis som många av seaside-hotellen på Miami Beach är det väldigt få rum som har någon havsutsikt alls.
