Overall good hotel. Kinda sits away from clubs and bars. About 8 blocks from wet willies etc. rooms don't have fridges or microwaves. "Fair - late check in"
The stay was a lot of fun, but the check-in wasn't until 4PM! We drove 14hrs. and got there at 10AM only to realize we couldn't check-in until 4. Also we got 2 rooms for 2 adults per room and the beds were just 2 single beds pushed together into one. Response by Richmond Oceanfront Hotel Our hotel is a very busy property and with check-out time being Noon it is neccessary to have a 4 PM check-in time (which is typical of many local hotels). Time is needed to prepare the room after one guest's departure for the next (arriving) guest. Unfortunately, guests begin walking in our doors very early each day, expecting to go straight into their rooms; and we do our best to accommodate them, whenever possible. If not, we are happy to pre-register the guests, store their luggage, provide them with a place to change and let them start enjoying our facilities and begin their South Beach adventure. Every listing and every promotion of our property mentions that our rooms offer one bed; which is very common for many art deco properties in the area. In addition, we provide valet parking service to our visitors and parking is very limited and expensive on Miami Beach and our parking rates are not as high as many other hotels in the area: public parking is available nearby for those that want to park themselves. We are happy to respond to your comments, but are most pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.

"Great location, nothing fancy about this though"
You can't beat the location and access lincoln rd, the beach, restaurants etc. The room was pretty sparse and small. bathroom was not luxurious. It was clean though. "Paper Thin Walls, BUT Perfect Location"
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at The Richmond. It is in the perfect location on Collins (near most of the clubs, bars, shops). It is also right on the beach. The hotel is an older building; charming. My only wish is that the sound proofing was a little better. I had to buy ear plugs in order to sleep at night. You could literally hear every spoken word […] outside, and in the adjacent rooms. Not a huge deal if you are out and about all of the time, and you like to disco nap in the afternoons. However, if you are someone that likes to go to bed at a reasonable hour (11ish) and wake up a little later (9ish), you may have a hard time sleeping. But, who goes to Miami Beach to sleep? The only other thing to know is that there really isn't much of a bar or hotel lobby scene here. For me, this was good. I'd prefer to go and make noise in someone else's lobby. But, just a heads up that if you are not someone that likes to venture out of the hotel lobby for your fun, you may be disappointed here. My daughter and I wanted a short getaway in South Beach at a hotel that offered amenities like pool, restaurant, etc. This hotel was fabulous. One of the cleanest I have stayed in in years. We had a blast in that hotel. We enjoyed staying at the pool and the jacuzzi. We had a direct access to the beach. The staff was very very nice, they could answer any questions. They helped us to get a ride to Orlando, because they have like a binder with all the stuff to do in Miami. We had a bus station in the same block, so we went to Aventura Mall […] which pretty cool. "Richmond Oceanfront Hotel"
Wir buchten 4 Übernachtungen im Richmond und während zwei Nächten wurde die ganze Nacht durch Musik abgespielt, was das Schlafen nicht einfach machte. Auch durch den Tag wurde Musik abgespielt, was uns jedoch nicht so störte. Zudem war das Hotel sehr ringhörig und man stand jedesmal im Bett, wenn der Nachbar in der Nacht die Spülung betätigte. Das Personal […] war zwar freundlich und hilfsbereit, doch sprach es schlecht Englisch (auch am Frontdesk), was die Kommunikation nicht immer einfach machte. Die Preise für die Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme sind sehr hoch. Lieber am Pool sonnen oder einen eigenen Sonnenschirm für am Strand kaufen. Hotellet er i sig selv udemærket, ligger rigtig fint og giver god valuta for prisen. Men ALT koster ekstra, og personalet er ikke særlig venlige! - Parkering koster ca. 250 kr pr dag. - WIFI internet koster ca. 100 kr pr dag og virker kun i hotellets lobby. - Morgenmad ca. 100 kr pr person. Vi boede der 3 døgn, men fik lov at betale for 4 døgns parkering, […] fordi de havde skrevet forkert ankomsttidspunkt. Vi kunen endda bevise at vi sad på en færge på det tidspunkt de påstod vi ankom til hotellet, men det hjalp ikke. "Betal eller vi ringer efter politiet" var udmeldingen. Vi oplevede flere der havde problemer, hvor personalet var ligeglade og tørrede det af på gæsterne. Tag hotellet, men find selv en parkeringsplads. Ca. 200 meter derfra, kan du parkere til under ½ pris. Spis din morgenmad på cafe'en på den anden side af gaden. Den er SUPER god, og tilbyder gratis WIFI, som i øvrigt også virker i hotellets lobby. Hotellet var mysigt trots att det låg i collins ave där mkt folk promenerade på de fina gatorna. Hotellet gav en spa känsla så man kunde koppla av vid poolen.
