"Will not be back"
I made the choice to stay in the hotel based on location, very close to the convention center. The room was run down and the bed was very uncomfortable. The walls very thin and I could hear the guest next door to me snoring all night long. In the end it was OK. We had to change our room twice in the beginning, because it wasn't ready and the other room someone smoked, even though it's a smoke free room policy. "Home-y and accessible to all"
I felt that the hotel has a home-y feel. I did not feel pretentious compared to staying at other higher class hotels. A good plus is that it's right by the beach and has a very nice pool with the perfect temperature. It's within 2-3 blocks from the convention center. And, definitely away from the partying and noise of Ocean Dr. The room is clean except […] for one sighting of a dirty silicon-looking ball on the floor, which may have been used for the ears for blocking noise. Speaking about noise, we can definitely hear doors slamming and voices from other customers walking on the hall, waking us up in the middle of the night. The toilet flush was very loud as well as the water pipes. We can hear toilet-flushing from other rooms as well as when somebody turned on the shower. Our oceanfront room on the 4th floor did not have a view of the ocean but it was a nice size for 2 people. We had palm trees and a pool-view instead. The hotel needs minor renovations (i.e. carpets are worn out; repainting needed; beach loungers are not offered). Towards the weekday, there were not too many people staying. This was an added plus since I don't like crowds and we have the pool to ourselves. The people working at the hotel were very nice though. The front desk made a mistake and gave access to my room to someone else's key card. A few hours after I checked in, a stranger opened my door with his own key card and said that he had just checked in and front desk staff gave him this room. A new Desk Clerk, recently trained and promoted to this position, mistakenly assigned a new guest to the room that the reporting guest had recently occupied. The manager met privately with our guest and sincerely apologized for this regrettable experience: the cost of a room night was refunded immediately and our Operations Manager reassigned her reservation and personally escorted her to her new accommodations. The Clerk was counseled regarding this critical situation and re-trained regarding delicate guest security issues and concerns.

The Hotel is OK and the location is great. Overall its clean. Rooms are OK but the shower was not working properly. After a request to check the shower, they did but no real improvement. The water pressure was reduced to ZERO... I travel a lot and it's always possible to keep the room a couple of hours for a late check out. This was also possible at […] the Richmond after asking several times; they charged me for a whole extra day, no other possibilty offered while I used it for 6 hours only. Internet corner offered Internet at a charge which was very slow. I did not manage to actually check in for my flight. After 10 minutes and Euro 7,00 I gave up.
